I know a guy that bought a corvette. I'm really unrefreshed about the details. But in general its a 1972 model, and has an LS-6 454 in it. I know the ls-6 was phased out in early 1971. But this car has a yenko badge on the back of the car on the right side beside the tail lights. It doesn't have yenko stripes or interior. I don't even know the color of the car. But I was wondering if anyone could help me and my friend out. Thanks!

Other people here probably know more than I do on this subject, but there don't seem to be any replies yet so I will try. Yenko Chevrolet was not just a high performance specialist, they also sold regular Chevrolet cars just like hundreds of other dealers. So a car with a Yenko emblem on it is not necessarily anything special. You can probably find those emblems on six cylinder cars as often as on big block musclecars.
Post some numbers off of the car, especially anything that you can find on the engine, and see what can be learned.

You're correct, I've seen a few cars with yenko emblems. the most memorable was a 1968 z-28, with a sticker on the valve cover and on the drivers side back glass. The stickers read, "Tuned by Yenko, Cannonsburg Pa."

This corvette has the same sticker. But like i said, it is a LS-6 454, and it was phased out in early 71. This is a 72 model. I'll try and get some numbers and more info. Thanks for the help so far!

One of the problems with just looking for emblems, stickers, or stripes is the fact that 99% of the resto catalogs offer them for sale today. I'm sure there are a lot of cars out there wearing Yenko stickers that are not Yenko cars, but the owner liked the looks of the sticker, or liked the mystique surrounding Yenko Chevrolet, so they got added to the car.

And, like Don said, Yenko sold a lot of unspectacular cars, just like any other car dealer...but noone really remembers any of those cars, do they?! http://www.yenko.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
