weird 1968 alternator number

Found a 1968 date code alternator 37 Amp 1100838. It is not in the Colvin books. It is so close to a 837 L78 L72 alternator I am trying to find the application for it. Anyone know of another source for alternator numbers?

My parts books show that number as being
64 to 67 chevelle or 67 to 71 camaro. There are probally other applications that is the only ones I looked at.

Thank you for looking it up. What am looking for is what engines it was used on in 1968.

My book says all engines. I know that doesn't help much.
