Seller says it has to go since he just bought a 69 COPO Camaro. Wondering about the car or if one of the members here on the site is selling it. Mahlo

I'll confess, I'm the one selling the '68 Z!!!
I stumbled on to a real nice "documented" and restored 1969 Canadian COPO "Iron Block" Camaro. Cortez Silver, M-22, ps, pdb and not much else. It is literally identical to a Chevy company car that I would occationally drive, many years ago........So I bought it!!!
My wife agreed with my buyimg the car, but strongly suggested that I sell-off something to make room (and keep peace at home), so the '68 Z-28 is going to go.

Thanks for the reply Jim, Ill pass the info on to the Gentleman that asked me to see about it. Wonder if it would like living in the shade below Diamond Head.
Jim, congratulations on your purchase of the COPO Camaro - sounds like a great car.
Any chance to view Pictures of this new acquisition? /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

I guess that I can't show photos. They should be sized properly for the site, but I'm getting back a message that the file is too big.
If anyome interested, send me a private e-mail at
[email protected] and I'll send the photos that way.

Sounds like a great car Jim. It always hurts when you have to sacrifice one car for another, but it's worth it in the end. I just sold my 93 Z28 Indy Pace Car so I can finish the restoration on my 69 JL8 crossram project. We want to see pictures!
Thanks for the Picture Jim.
It is a Very Nice Camaro, and a Canadian COPO to boot!
It looks similar to the one you are standing next to in the YearOne Ad you did.
Now if it was only a Chevelle.... /ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif
Jim's COPO picture. It looks sweet and I bet no one will question the documentation. /ubbthreads/images/icons/cool.gif
That is one gorgeous Camaro!!! I have always thought the COPO cars were the epitome of factory perfomance. The Z/28 is equally as gorgeous...my favorite color as well...

Jim;
Is that the car that Bob Harris of Camaro Specialties in New York restored, and made the restoration videotape of?

The video car is a Berger with vinyl top. It sits in Seattle last I heard...BKH

You know, I was never a cortez silver fan....but I am starting to come around. It's the little details, like how great the blue chevy bowtie emblem looks with the silver.

Most enthusiasts are unaware that Silver COPOs have an added special feature which makes them very unique.
Silver paint is the lightest/weight paint and this makes the Silver COPOs the absolute quickest and fastest COPO cars ever produced by the factory /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
