Thanks to MikeA for sending me those Yenko Deuce Ad's. These ad's had a bunch of dealers listed on them, some of which were new additions to my ever-expanding Y.S.C. dealer network file. If you live in these areas, or know something about the dealer, let us know some history.
Georgia: Nally Chevrolet, Atlanta
Illinois: Shaver Chev, Homewood, & Bill Jacobs Chev, Joliet
Mass: Scher Chev, Brockton (one deuce found)
Michigan: Krum-Hallman Chev, Vicksburg
Minnesota: Crossman Chev, Minneapolis (probably Grossman)
North Carolina: Bill Gerringer Chev, Apex
Tennessee: Union Chev, Memphis
West Virginia: Joe Holland Chev, Charleston
Anybody remember any of these? Most are new to me, so you never know where a Yenko car will show up!! /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
Nalley Chevrolet is still in business in Atlanta. I recall there was a 57? Chevy racer at Floyd's museum that had Nalley sponsorship. Don't know of any Yenkos sold there.

Marlin,
I live about 10 minutes from Bill Jacobs Chevrolet in Joliet Il. They
are still in business, and one of the leading Corvette dealers in the area. PHONE # IS 815-725-7110.
I am a finance manager at a Ford Dealer and another manager I had worked with at one time worked a Shaver Chevy in Homewood Il. His uncle owned it. They are also still in business their # is 708-799-2000.
As a matter of interest, Bill Jacobs is an active member of the old car hobby. A car salesman I work with is a member of a local car club, and he went on a tour of Bill Jacobs warehouse of old cars. He said their was a lot of neat cars including a BRAND NEW 1955 or 1957 Nomad with like 7.2 miles on it. Im sure he would'nt mind a call from you to inquire about any possiable Yenko's.
I hear Shaver Chevrolet commercials on the radio from time to time.
I sell parts at Bill Jacobs Chevrolet at their February swapmeet.
He has always been a key part of selling for them.
He was featured in a Communication kit in 1969 which shows the Parts Dept. and other views of his Dealership.Nice to see old Chevies up on the Service racks! /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Grossman Chev is still alive and doing quite well and only 10 minutes from me. Unfortunately, they are of little help in research as they moved from their original location in Minneapolis to Burnsville and discarded most if not all their records.

As of a couple of weeks ago, Shaver Chevrolet in Homewood is now Steve Peters Chevrolet. However, members of the Shaver family still own Shaver Chevrolet in Hobart, Ind.
Uncle Steve..It's me,your long lost nephew Rick! /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
