Nice pic of Mr Steve Nace Sr. Blue 70 Yenko Deuce in the Sept 2002 issue of PHR page 34. Just wish they did a full page one like they did on Don Estel's 69 Camaro

Marlin, Did the Mag print the wrong title is it really Jr or Sr as the Mag states? Or was the name wrong all together and it belongs to someone else, like yourself?

Actually, I don't really know - I don't show that name as an owner. Maybe he just acquired the car? Has had it under wraps for a long time? Or it's a clone?

Nice looking deuce, wonder if he added the bumper guards, or it came that way. Don't recall ever seeing one with bumper guards before, but hey, never say never. Schonye

Wouldnt you know its to late to go and edit it also. Maybe it has to be a name like Humuhumu-Nukumuku-Apua'a (the Hawaii State Fish) or the Lauwiliwili-Numumku-'oi-'oi yes another fish. Try saying those 10 tens fast Maybe I do need a drink, someone pass me a glass of milk

Jeff, you got me now! I wouldn't know if you misspelled those or not! Hey, do you know anything about that Harrell Camaro in the classifieds on Team Camaro? It is on the Islands. Is that where you went on your car hunting trip? I think the posting date was 7/23/ LMK, thanks, Mike

Went to look at a 66 L79 SS Nova and tried to find a Philippine Camaro that was said to be on Maui but couldnt find it. Was willing to take them both back to Oahu but the guy was toooooo steep on the L79 for 17.5K. The Harrell I have not seen and the member also posts here to. I think he has posted some pics of it and allon both sites.

Well, do me a favor and try to look him up and go see it. I have interest but not gonna fly to Hawaii on a pipe dream. I have been there many times and am way jealous. My ex-wife grew up there. She went to Radford? I think. She was a Ramette. Her dad was Air Force.

Thanks for the pic of the deuce, car looks nice. I can't tell by looking at it if it's a new owner, or what. What state was this pic taken in? I'll have to go buy the mag /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Mag article states Ocean City Maryland for their 12th Annual Cruisin. "Maryland Madness" Thats the only pic of it by the way in case you were going to buy it in hopes for more pics.

Interesting, I met a guy at the NNN Nationals this past weekend whose friend owned one in the mid '70's, and then sold it. They were from Maryland, it was a 4speed, Fathom Blue, Lustine Chev. is in Maryland, they got Deuces...hmmmmm... Looks like I need to check it out, might be the real deal /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Situation looks good, might be adding another car to the registry /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif Hopefully, I'll get to talk to the owner tonight, my contact from NNN Nationals definitely owned the Ammon R. Smith Blue deuce, and this PHR car might very well be the same car - long story!!

Have spent the last 3weeks tracking down this car, it appears to be a fake /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

However, my connection from the NNN show did indeed own the blue deuce that I had searched for approx. 4 years ago - he told me the single significant clue that was unique to this car. The car was orig. owned by the son of the president of a large paper company in York, PA, who street raced the car extensively until daddy made him get rid of it. Then it went to Maryland, then back to PA for several years, then to an auto auction, then ?????

Do you know if the Gobi Beige 70 Deuce in the July 88 issue of MuscleCar Review is still around or not. Shows the owner (Mr John Wargo) as buying it out of Yenko's Cannonsburg lot

Yes, that car is still around. It is probably our number 1 reference car.
