If a Motion key fob is worth $400, how much is my Nickey "clicker" worth? It's NOS, never even been "clicked".....much..... /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif

Mark,

You could probably get a bunch made for considerably less than $400 a piece. I'm not questioning the Seller's integrity, but the reality is there is no telling when that one was made and could it really be told apart from a new one made for $5. The guy that won does not have a Motion car to my knowledge, but does typically have some Yenko, Motion, Nickey parts/memoribilia. Nonetheless, neat piece. I'd like one too, but maybe for $20. /ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif

Was it just me or did that key FOB look a litle too "New/modernish". Not so much in that it had no patina but the graphics etc looks like it was just made-doesn't look like a '60's or '70's type item. One of my clients does that kind of metal stamping and with computer graphics and cad they can be done super cheaply and fast. He does the same type of metal relief work. If you send him the artwork he can do anything. Did our local car show trophies(metal plaqe portion) for $3-4 dollars per piece minus the set up fee. Wonder if other ones will surface on Ebay in the future. Any Motion experts out there on this piece?
Dave

At $405.00..I think there will be more coming!
News will spread and the market will be over crowded.

Seriously though Mark.I would like to hear if the seller contacts you in the near future by saying that $405.00 bidder renigged on it.Then asks you if you woud like to have it for $400.00?
I know nothing about these two people, and am not saying they are like this, but I have been in ebay auctions where this happened to me.
The seller had two ID names,or used a friends name to outbid me,I believe it was intended to find my ceiling, then work from there. In both cases I told the sellers No Thank You and Goodbye.

I think the seller said that it came out of joel's personal collection.I know a guy that bought one out of joel's personal collection and it was ten times the reserve.Either this guy left off a 0 or?But you have to admit he made a killing.

wow!! 405.00 for a key fob.where's the limit? hey! i think i can find some used motor oil from a super car. how much is that worth? thats alot of cash for an item i here had a 35.00 reserve. to each his own ,but every tom, dick ,and harry that thinks he has got something from the past will be on ebay trying to pass it off as supercar product.it makes telling the real from the fake very hard.but thats just my opinion. and you know what they say about opinions. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Wow 405.00 that's getting a little crazy. but I checked it out and its not a copy its the real deal and you can look them up on the back page of the motion catalogs.

PS> looking forward to the super car show this Sept,21 (no car this yr. shooting for next)
I will be flying in this yr. arriving on Sept,19 and departing on the 22 and staying at the holiday inn.
I will have some rare memorabilia with me for sale or trade.

and will be looking for a ride to and from the drag stripe.

How do you guarantee memorabilia as original? Is there a letter of authentication from Joel Rosen that goes with these items? /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

Receipt from Joel-Motion performance. Ask him I think he charged(credit card) them about 2 years ago.

Remember your on the supercar website. When you have any car that's worth over a 150 to 200 thousand dollars $400 for a keychain doesn't sound as bad' I'm sure if he ever decides to sell the 68 phase III motion car he'll just add it into the price.

Mark, Try the number on his Motion Models web site. Joel is pretty friendly if you are buying something from him. I bought a B17 model from him for my dad. I wasn't sure which one to get so the women put Joel on the phone to help me pick the model. I was able to slip a few car questions in the conversation.

Mark the number is on the top of your verification sheet that's signed by Joel! Or check the buisness card that was in the glovebox.

Re; Jon Rand: I would. So would the rest of us who have the money to spend. Automobilia is one of the fastest appreciating segments of the hobby. You do not want to know how much I have invested in lighted showcases - just to properly display my materials. Hopefully you will be enlightened by visiting this website and will learn the value of these collectables. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
