View Full Version : Muscle Car Motion Magazine
Just received the latest issue of Muscle Car Motion magazine. Very well done with interesting reading, including an article on Yenko Chevrolet. The article was submitted by the sYc and contains several never before published photos, including one of Don standing in front of the Canonsburg dealership in 1968. Tom

Does anyone know which Deuce that is on the 2nd page?? It looks like it may be Blue with sport mirrors. Any ideas, Marlin? Any guess on how many sport mirrors pkgs were sold? Great article by the way!! (one to add to the archives). Jim

Jim;
I'm assuming you are referring to the second page of the article in the mag, which I don't have! There were several cars sold with the sport mirrors, surprisingly most of the cars still retain them. I'm not sure you can completely open the wing windows with them, and they shake! A whopping $20 option back in the day.
Since the car has a 1969 dealer plate on it, could it be the 6 cylinder prototype?
Marlin, you should have a B&W copy of the photo used in the article. It will be the rear view of a Deuce with a '69 dealer plate. Tom

Yes, that would be the 'brochure car' which is a mock-up, not a COPO. That car was a 6cyl with blue interior, but had the hood scoop and sport mirror options installed. We do not know of any Yenko Novas receiving the hood scoop or twin rear spoiler options.

Just got my magazine and I love the stock drags. Really nice article on Yenko also. I just wish it came every month.
Anyone know anything about the car Peter is racing against? A Pontiac running 12.40's is fast.

If memory serves ...it is a Magnum 400 (dealer prepped T-37 or GTO) sold out of Knafel Pontiac in Akron Ohio.I think it is owned by Paul Glasco(sp?).A very nice car,and quick .......
