While I have been a "gearhead" for most of my life. It is this year that has brought me in closer with events like the Fred Gibb Car Show and SCR5. I guess it all started as a kid while I watched my brother tune his 71 Z-28 on weekends. With the addition of his friends, there was no shortage of Camaros, Chevelles and etc. in my driveway. The car I learned to drive on was a 69 Z-28, which I later restored at the age of 21 (you would think I would be more concerned with buying beer).
The Fred Gibb Show was a turning point for me. Rather that thinking "wow, that 67 Z that says 'little hoss' is nice". I found myself thinking "Wow, I can't believe the amount of history that is here!". I was a year old when my Z-28 came off the line so catching up on what I missed has been a rewarding adventure. This website has been a wonderful source of information and has kept me informed on such great shows. The degree of friendliness among all of you is amazing. Heck, I approached Ken Barnhart at SCR5 with a question about his car and he graciously talked with me about it for a good while.
While I don't have a true "Supercar" I hope you don't mind if I tag along for the ride. Over the year I have learned a lot of the names behind these great cars and I hope to formally meet everyone as the shows continue.

Pleased to meet you,

Darren Costello

Darren, Welcome.
I too do not own a Supercar (yet) but this site has been a tremendous help to me in my restorations as well as dispelling myths that I had for years on these cars. It has also been great for the hobby by finding fraudulent cars and sellers and helping potential buyers be at ease with their purchase. Never a dull moment here and always something new to learn no matter how much you thought you knew before. Enjoy your stay.

Aloha to the site. Like others No SuperCar here either but I do have a few Camaros and a 65 442. Plenty of good folks and great information to be found here.
