Does anybody know anything about this car? Is it original, #'s matching, documented? Price seems low for a restored JL8 crossram.

Don't know this car, but do know that the valve configuration below the master cylinder is correct for a power disc brake car, but NOT for a factory JL-8. There were an undocumented number of dealer installed JL-8 packages, maybe this is one. Ask for the diameter of the front rotors. And there are other differences between factory and dealer installed systems with the configuration of the rear end, also.

Please correct me if I am wrong. But I thought that cross rams were only over the counter. I don't recall cross rams being put on in the factory.

I can't see the picture clear enough to tell if there is a proportioning valve under the master cylinder or not. You are correct, the crossram was an over the counter item never installed by the factory.

I think that I see a separate metering valve, which is what you need for disk/drum cars.
