I emailed the seller of this car and told him I had seen this picture of this car on the scr site and explained that if it is in fact the same car then thats cool, but if he is selling a different car and using someones picture of there car then that is fraud and I will contact e bay, lets see how he responds if he responds at all.

It is also my opinion that it is fradulent to use a picture of someone elses Yenko and try to pass it off as your own, but he did pick one awesome Rally Green Camaro.
I would be surprised if the clone was anywhere near the same quality as Jim's Yenko.

eBay will end the auction, if the owner of the picture complains in the safe harbor area .

Will they end the auction if someone other than the owner complains! Seems to me if they are made aware of a FRAUD and they do nothing about it then they are just as guilty as the seller.I don't know why someone would pull a stupid trick like that, using a picture of another car for their own.I guess everyone can't be honest.I am building a 67 SS Chevelle that I feel has ties to Nickey Chevrolet but until I can prove it,it is a Nickey Clone! I would not attempt to try and make anyone believe it is a real Nickey car until I have some sort of PROOF!

Bobby,
What do you think you have an SS Chevelle sold from Nickey or a Conversion car?
What info do you have which makes you believe it is a Nickey Chevelle?
BBIGG BLOCK 396

Well when I had the car stripped to bare metal there were 2 extra holes in the front fenders above the crossed 396 flags,we had no idea as to what they were for so they were welded up,after talking to some people and explaining the holes I was told it could possibly be a Nickey car.I had never heard of Nickey at that point.I purchased the car from the second owner. He had purchased the car from the owner that had bought the car from Bud Moore chevrolet in Houston Texas as a used car.The car was stolen from the first owner and stripped. When I say stripped they took everything except for the rearend. The second owner remembers the extra holes and used bondo to fill them in.I went back to the guy I bought the car from and he told me how to contact the guy he bought the chevelle from.I contacted this person that has now passed away and was in very poor health and his memory was not the best, but he told me the car was a special high performance car when he purchased it.He stated at the time it was the only one around Houston of its kind,I asked about the emblems that went in the extra holes and he did not remember exactly what they were, I did not mention Nickey to him for I did not want to put words in his mouth, the old guy suffered from alzheimers and a host of other medical problems and passed away 2 months after I spoke on the phone too him.I had asked about any old photos of the car but he had none and had no old paper work on the car. Also tho old guy has no living relatives that I can contact.I have tried to contact some old employees of bud moore chevrolet but have had no luck.I had the state run a title search but they can only go back to 1982 which shows the guy I purchased the car from.So at this point I have no definite proof, but still searching.I know this story sounds far fetched but it is true. When I disassembled the car I could tell that the front clip was original to the car and had never been removed.Thats all I know at this point.

Bobby,
Not to offend but as a matter of fact based on what you stated you have nothing to lead anyone to believe that you have a Nickey Chevelle, but for two holes in the fenders?
Was the car purchased new at Nickey Chevrolet?

Nickey didn't use a 2 hole emblem!!
BBIGG BLOCK 396
10-02-2002, 12:12 AM
I never stated it was a Nickey car, just a possibility going by what some have told me about the fender emblems. To my knowledge the car was not sold at Nickey but from Bud Moore Chevrolet in Houston.I was thinking it might be a possibility and possibility only that Bud Moore may have had it converted.I know from talking to some people that some dealers did this sort of thing(had cars converted) at least what I am told. Anyway it doesen't really matter too me if it is a real Nickey car or not, it would be nice if it was, I guess for the status of owning a real Supercar. But I never intend to sell the car regardless.I am going to put a few Nickey items on the car to make it a clone!! I will keep searching to find the true history of the car anyway.May or may not ever find out but when something new pops up I will check into it, I may never find the complete story of the car.But when I am finished with it I will send you guys some pictures of it. Should not be too much longer before she is complete just putting on some finishing touches.Regardless it will be a nice car Nickey or not.It will have a 396/375 hp specs, everything except the block is new,GM steel crank, H beam rods, crane solid lift cam, crane lifters, pro magnum pushrods, full roller rockers, keith black pistons, speed pro file fit rings, edelbrock aluminum heads, edelbrock aluminum intake, custom built Davinci Holley carb, center force dual friction clutch, new richmond 6 speed trans, custom built drive shaft, original gm 12 bolt 373 posi. Painted with PPG base coat clear coat, custom mix neon blue paint(just a little darker than marina blue with a bit of metalic)Car has been through a complete frame off restoration.Car is a real 138 car, buckets seats ,console factory air and factory power steering,I added front disc brakes just to slow her down a bit,I think you guys will like the pics I send you.BUT REMEMBER SHE IS A CLONE!!! And thanks for the information all you guys have supplied me with on supercars.I don't think there is a nicer bunch of folks anywhere than right here on the super car registry site.

Maybe since he won't respond, somebody should bid on the car and then retract their bid. When you retract a bid, you must then explain why you did. The explanation could point out the Fraud involved and anyone looking at bid history will be warned. Maybe we can all bid on it /ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif

here is his excuse:
Cancelled $17,000.00
Explanation:please rebid. I put the wrong pic up by mistake and it will be fixed tonight
wrong pic my butt!!!
Did you see what he just did........
Not only did he steal the picture from here, but he bid on his own auction as the first bidder under a new name "Dreamrods",then cancelled his own bid,and told us why in the retracton column.
What a slime ball.
The Sellers name is RoadRex1234 & DreamRods!

I think you are confused. What he has done is cancel the only bid that was made on it and asked the bidder to bid again on his new auction. I don't think he was the bidder. When you cancel someones bid you need to give a explanation. I think we can let this quietly go away now.

In ref; to the new listing of this yenko clone. I live about 20 miles from the little town of Blacklick. I do not know this guy, but i have had a few friends of mine tell me that they have seen a dark green yenko w/black stripes and small hub caps driving around here a few months back. I have not seen the car. After viewing the new photo on his re-listed auction, this photo may be correct this time.I am in NO WAY defending this guy.Im just informing everyone one this site what i have heard and this could possibly be the same car. Do not know of any other yenko clones in this area except mine. I own a 69 Yenko replica .I would not want to purchace a car from this guy because of his shaddy tactics.

Charley, why didnt you bid and retract? Probably because you know that is NOT GOOD feedback to have retractions!!

RP, didn't you notice someone warned and the reply was to the effect of "I'll take the hit"? I doubt all the good feedback those guys have could be off set by a single bid retraction... Ahhh Bob. Didn't I say in the post that maybe somebody should bid on it ? Did you not see the Smiley face after the sentence that we should all bid on it ? The recommendation was meant in jest. One bid should have been enough to make People aware. I was not going to bid as I have no first hand knowledge of that being the wrong picture. Tom did have first hand knowledge. So trying to dig up dirt on me you look up my Ebay Profile and all you can find out of 106 transactions is a complaint from a Guy that has been banned from Ebay ? I still have the Broken , Bondoed spoiler he sent. I have had one Ebay account all these years. You have had Rpeck67, Boss49er,
[email protected] and how many others ? Why do you need all those accounts ? Are there more ? I know you used
[email protected] to try and ruin a Sale that Steve Shauger made by Emailing the high bidder and telling the bidder that the car was a rust bucket piece of junk when in fact the car was very nice and the bidder bought and loves the car. As usual Bobby is stirring the pot, he obviously has no friends. As for the two negative feedbacks here goes:
"Complaint: He s/b banned from EBay for Life. We won 45,800 car. He sold it to someone else!"
Once the auction ended, the high bidder informed me that he would not honor the terms of the auction. I waited for payment as specified, when payment was not received, sold car to next highest bidder. The bidder had done this before, this was his previous feedback: Complaint : Stalled, Wouldn't meet TermsThreathened Verbal Abuse Came with VCR/NO MONEY CON
The other negative feedback I got was a mistake and the seller corrected it.
"Complaint : Bidder Never answered 3 e-mails ! Never sent payment ! Sellers beware !"
Follow-up by jiggo - Bidder has fulfilled contract obligations...Steve turns out to be an AOK ebayer
It is a shame Peck has access to this valuable site, all the positive information is sometimes overshadowed with juvenile posts by this individual. Maybe he can get attention somewhere else.

Gee Charley, fine mess you got us into this time!!!!! I also have a negative feedback, my wife paid for a auction 15 minutes after it ended by paypal. Seller wrote rude emails demanding payment 8 days later, I left her a bad feedback for being rude and she gave me one back, guess 15 minutes after auction ended was to long.BUT I do have over 1100 positives and Yes I retracted my bid on the car with the fraud picture.!!! Fraud is Fraud and once a liar or a cheating seller then always a liar and cheating seller. I have bought 6 cars off ebay and my Harley Screamin Eagle and have been lucky, but I ALWAYS check a sellers feedback before bidding. Charley, I will go all the way with you on this one,Fraud is Fraud. /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif
Same here. Something needed to be done. In addition to the bid/retract thing, I contacted Ebay, since the picture was taken from our site without permission. Besides, I owed Charley for letting me make a pass in his 2002 Camaro. Charley, what do you call it, a Berger, a GMMG or a Murphy? Anything but a Yenko I hope. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif Tom

Maybe I'll call it a Clary(since you drove it)Yenko(since it was near some Yenko's)Berger ZL1 with a Murphy Body. Too bad you were as bad as me driving it. I think the 427 was supposed to go on the Dyno today.
Charley, I do not think that the use of the name Clary would enhance the value of your car any, infact, judging by some of the posts on my own board, it would most likely kill any value it has. Now, down to business. If I continue to suck up, can I drive your car now that it has the 427? And, by the way, I could have done better in it at the reunion but: the sun was in my eyes, my foot slipped, the helmet was too tight/loose, I did not want to hurt your car, you get the picture. Tom
