Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the X-44's didn't have the bright trim package.

Hey Guys, I have emailed the seller and on his reply he mention that the car has a repaint. (back!) to its factory color of hugger orange,(whats up wit dat?) so by not knowing yet if it's a x11 or 44 car, could have the restorer put the trim package on or (back on!?).To do a color change,in my opinion the car had to have come completely apart, so did he decide to do some detail mods at that time, or did infact did copo's come with bright trim? I do have a few numbers that he sent if anyone would like to know.Still learning how to decode one and what it all means. You can tell I am in the learning stages so be gentel , mold me shape me /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif I have the fever and I want stop until I have one (supercar).

Post what the guy supplied you with and someone will decode it. Would he helpful if there was a build sheet (yes I know it's rare), original window sticker, bill of sale, or POP.

bpls6,
I am confused which isn't hard to do. You make it sound like it was painted a different color at one time? It was repainted once the original color, per the owner which sounds OK to me.

Where do you get X44 from? The owner has stated X11. The COPO is trimmed correctly for X11 and it is denoted on the trim tag per the owner.

While I have not seen the COPO in person, I am just working with info. provided by the current owner. /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

I just confirmed with Charles that it has only had one repaint, many years ago, in the same color and that it is an X11 Code COPO.

This copo mentioned has a rosewood steering wheel. Was this option availible on any 69 Camaro or only availible as an option when the deluxe interior was ordered? Also, this copo has the vinyl top. Was this option only availible on cars with style trim (ex; X 11)? Could a X 44 copo have a vinyl top?

Yes an X-44 COPO can get a vinyl top. My X-44 Yenko Camaro happens to have one.

The rosewood wheel option (rpo N34) was available on any Camaro. Vinyl top was optional on any sport coupe. I saw an X44 Dover white car with blue std interior, blue vinyl top and a rosewood. Very nice.

Some of the Douglass Yenkos were to have come factory equipped with Rosewood Wheels, Chambered exhaust, Aux. lighting package, AM/FM stereo,Vinyl top and all had X11 D80 and endura Bumper as well as the Yenko Sports Car Conversion package and standard Black interior.
