Hi guyÄs ! Perhaps you already know about the two Dover white COPOÄs in Sweden. The other one is a four-speed with endura bumper, mine is an automatic without any extras.I bought it four years ago from a friend, who found the car back in -84. It was sitting with a spun bearing in the original engine. He was looking for a BB Camaro to go racing with, but finding the VIN stampings on the block and transmission made him hesitate. I,m so glad he didnÄt tub it, but it,s rusty so it needs bodywork anyway. Still, it runs. I made a 13.17 at 110 mph pass on slippery tires, two monthÄs ago. Still runs good !
I Welcome You here.
You need to talk to Stefano, perfect timing. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Yes, I knew they were there, via Ove Sjoholm (president of Camaro Club Sweden), didn't have any data on them. Almost 30 pacers over there too!

ThankÄs guys, I feel welcome ! Yes weÄve got some serious Muscle cars over here. There are a couple of JL8Äs and some LS-6 Chevelle and El CaminoÄs for instance. Many of these cars left the U.S. in the seventies. My COPO and an old racecar I have, came in -75 I believe. They were cheap back then. The story about my car is that a guy in Stockholm ordered a used -69 Z28. My car was bought and shipped to Sweden, but the guy refused to take delivery of the car because it had a 427 and automatic. He wanted a real Z28 !

I tried emailing you but the emails bounce. Is there a typo in the email listed for you?

I donÄt know why it bounced Kurt. ItÄs new but should be correct. Still, I have made a change so try again !

We've gotten several emails from individuals in Sweden. Just recently a gentleman with a Yenko ZL-1 contacted about building a ZL-1 clone, and he said their are a number of cars over there.
Anybody up for a road trip? /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Rob, the gentleman you are referring to is Z28-Hans from Hyltebruk. ThatÄs about 30 miles from Anderstorp. HeÄs a very nice guy with a supernice, matching #, -69 Z28. The car is restored but the engine is still standard bore. The biggest problem heÄs got right now is that he canÄt outrun me with the z. ThatÄs why he must build a faster car ! Just kiddinÄof course ! He bought the Yenko-block in southern Germany last spring. ItÄs still brand new even though it was cast in -70 or -71, I canÄt remember. They had to hone the cylinders to fit the standard 427 pistons !! Hans actually found me the, low milage, practically no rust, originally sold in Sweden, 307 -69 Nova that I bought two months ago. It will be equipped with a "special" 396 to outperform his ZL-1 clone. More on this when the smoke has cleared !!!

Antwerpen cars are special ! Five or six years ago there was a guy here with an Antwerpen-built -71 Z28. The car was factory equipped with angle-plug heads, and I believe also a special cam, raising the horsepower figure to 409 !! It was also fitted with the early -70 (ducktail ?) rearspoiler, from the factory !
