Did the Yenko Camaros sold at Douglass Chevrolet ever actually go through Yenko Chevrolet in Canonsburg or were they shipped directly to Douglass, and were these Camaros included in 198 production number of 69 Yenko Camaros, and last what colors were available on the Yenko/Douglass Camaros?

JTH74, these questions you have can be answered on the Supercars/musclecars for sale forum. Click on the "1966 yenko stinger for sale" thread. Hope you have a few hours to spare. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif Rollin, rollin, rollin. /ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif

JTH74,
From what i have been told that these cars , yes were COPO's but are not Don Yenko built cars and are not on the LIST. So i guess they are Yenko Clones? Anyone else care to comment?

Don't take it personally, it's just a very heated subject for a lot of people. To clearly answer your question, some of the Yenkos Douglass sold were delivered to Yenko, had the sYc conversion done to them and were sent to Douglass. Those cars would be part of the original 198 or 201 Yenkos. Then, Douglass ordered his own COPO's which he then converted to Yenkos with Don's blessing and striping. Those would be the cars that were the non-standard Yenko colors and would not be part of the original 198-201 Yenkos. Hope this helps and if I got anything wrong, then please correct me guys.
