Jeff,
I know that if you had it you would have posted; body number and trim tag data on the Hugger and is 05 ?? G 2 OR ?? 05 G 2 for the rear?
Do either of these cars have Copo Connection Verification?

The rearend numbers are posted as i was given them. Also thought it was strange that some numbers were missing. as for the certifications heres another response I received from Mr. Scott Wagner about both cars. I have e-mailed him about the numbers and the cowl tag on the orange one along with who certified the cars.
Jeff,
Both cars are certified to be complete #'s cars and have been featured in numerous magazines and television shows ESPN etc. They do not have build sheets or protecto plates. Without a doubt these are two of the finest in existence! If you want particular #'s just let me know.
Thanks,
Scott
Huugger Orange car should have a CX TH400 with a six bolt converter and the high shift point internals......Joel

I wonder who restored the car? You don't see too many 100 point cars!

Jeff,
Did you get a picture of the trim tag yet?

Never got a pic of the Trim tag . I also had asked him about the certification and who did it but he never answeered me back. /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif Would also like to remind everyone that though I do not kow the true status of any of these types of cars, there was a blank POP that sold on E-bay this past summer /ubbthreads/images/icons/frown.gif Also there is always the blank GM tape that was used to attached the owners name on the POp on E-bay all the time also

The protecto plate shows it as a radio delete car. Most of the original protecto plates which I have seen, seem to have that Yellow/orange glue around the boarder of the plate itself.

POP shows original owner as Bill Porter in Maysville, KY. There are still a fair number of Porter kin in Maysville and it ain't that big a place. If someone really wanted to check out the car, a few well-placed phone calls could be a good investment.
PS: That cowl tag has just got to be the nicest condition one I've ever seen.

So anyone out there able to tell me if the Fisher Body # and the VIN match up?
Leonard
10-23-2002, 02:18 AM
I happen to notice that one of the cars in question, car with vin# 695386 appears to be a build date of 10A, the trim tag states its a 11A build date.I know that the body sequ.# on certain camaros appear to be of an earlier build date of the vin, but the trim tag will confirm that with the actual build date which should match the vin build date. Someone correct me on this please, Confused. /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

Most of the trim tags I've seen had the rivets punched thru and dum-dum sealing the holes. Not questioning this one but thats what I've seen. Anyone else ?

From what I have read on this site and learned from observation; D80 did not appear on tags until late May of 69. Am I misinformed about this? Regarding VIN's 695xxx would be a 10A car. 11A cars would be in the 710xxx range.
It seems that D80 began to appear on 05D and later trim tags.

So this 05A tag with the X44D80 should not have the D80 or is it now the earliest D80 tag to date?

what about #155017????
What would cause a post to be deleted by administrator?
Was foul language used?
The last few postings have been changed and/or deleted over the last hour or so. I have received emails from the "site administrator" and "supersport".
I saw the post by "supersport" before it was deleted. The only thing I saw wrong with the post was that "supersport" used real names, rather than our "site" names. Kind of an invasion of privacy if you ask me.
Supersport, may I ask you retype your original post without the real names?
In that form I support it.
Members, censorship should be avoided and used only in a few rare circumstances.
There is a active post in parts for sale that is pretty serious. It could and will directly affect a man's livelehood.
The site administrator should not, and has not censored that post even though it could put someone out of business.
How that discussion pans out and which direction it will turn is up to the membership.
The same should hold true in the above(deleted, modified) post by "supersport". Let's let it back in(less real names) and see where it goes. /ubbthreads/images/icons/laugh.gif

I read it before it was deleted too and I think its was a wise move to delete it. It wasn't so much the real names used it was the way in which they were used.Poor taste to say the least.
For the most part, I agree that posts and/or threads should not be deleted. But, there has to be some basic guidelines, or the board would self destruct. As per Supersport, he had been warned on more then one occasion that his personal attacks would not be tolerated. Tom

"Supersport, he had been warned on more then one occasion that his personal attacks would not be tolerated. Tom"
Tom, maybe you could refresh my memory..that NEVER happened. Any "personal attacks" (obviously, for lack of a better term) were provoked and warranted.
Let's get back to the post here....From memory heres what I posted, using only member names!.. Charley Lillard (Chuckey), Wanna Be Pace Me, Little Warren Malkin Jr. and Scared of his own shadow DjD. Why are you not responding to this post about the Burnished Brown Camaro? The last time this car was discussed you had a lot to say!
Have you realized you were wrong in the previous posts about this car, when you should have left well enough alone? /ubbthreads/images/icons/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif
Now that is fact!! These members above bashed this car before!! They put there noses where they didnt belong! Thats not a good idea!! /ubbthreads/images/icons/mad.gif What happened? Was it not factual information? I think, they should have not spoken so outlandishly the first time this car was discussed. If you cant handle that, then the first thread should have been deleted..not mine! Lets get back to the car!!

It looks like the orange car that was owned by Greg Dieterly and restored by Brian Caudell. No comment on the brown car...LOL. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Maybe if you could just make your point without the BS cutesy name calling you would get somewhere. Are you trying to promote a big spitball fight ?

Well said Belair. Personally speaking, anytime I start to read a post that begins with personal attacks, I skip over it. A person writing that kind of a post pretty much invalidates their credibility with me and I choose not to even entertain the thought of reading their feeble attempt at bashing someone else.
Supersport, if you really want to make a point - a VALID point - then GROW UP, quit with the 2nd-grade name-calling, and simply state your point. 'Nuff said. /ubbthreads/images/icons/mad.gif

Kurt, Would you be able to answer the question why " Build date of car #155017 does not match build date on trim tag?" ( car 10A, tag 11A }If there is a legit explanation, please explain. If not, then enough said, let this question rest. All these numbers are on record.
