EB Smith was bought out by Bill Heard 7or8 years ago. They were in operation from 68 to 96 or so. EBs son Ronnie still lives in Nashville and was general manager of the dealer. He remembers having 2 copo camaros . One of them was stolen from his lot and never recovered. I have his phone # and see him at car shows from time to time .

Anything Jeff...a dealer sticker or emblem or ???.....even if I have to screw it to the sheetmetal !! I think they used a sticker though ..I just think it would be cool to have something from the selling dealership on the car...

Well folks...a great emblem has been united with a Yenko Camaro thanks to the generosity of Jeff. I have it held with magnets until I find out where E B installed them on a Camaro, way too much stuff in the back where it's mounted right now...may try the spoiler next.......just goes to show you there are still people willing to help out finding cool historical stuff for these cars....it's not always about dollars or value.Jeff also sent along a postcard that EB Smith parts department used to send out. Turns out Jeff worked at the dealer for a couple years....thanks Jeff...I owe you one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Great teamwork guys.
You know, it's a funny thing.
Whenever I bought a new car I always told the dealer, NO STICKERS, I thought it ruined the look of the car and who wanted to give the dealer free advertisement!!!
Now we are looking for stickers and emblems! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How true Shor....and when they "forgot" and put on the sticker anyway...as soon as it got home the 'hair drier' came out !!!

Great looking car. As I was looking at it I recalled a blue 69 camaro sitting under a carport down the street from EB's old place maybe it is still there . I will check it out. I will quiz Ronnie some more and see if I can get some more info on where the emblem went. Bob did you ever talk to the guy that bought the car new? Jeff

That's the same spot our Francis Chevrolet emblem was/is located on our Camaro.

Jeff the original owner was a woman named Lurline !Ronnie remembered her too.Her 68 Yenko was stolen I think when it was there for service if I remember the story right so she ordered the 69..the emblem mounted on the tail panel sure does makes it look like a billboard back there but if thats where it was installed then so be it....I will certainly make sure before I stick it ! Jeff...once again...thanks...Rob do you have a picture of your Y Camaro with a dealer emblem mounted ? I would like to compare the looks of it if you can post...
