A good friend of mine is selling a documented 68 l-89 camaro
I have seen the protecto plate and this is the real deal.
The car was originally sold at the dealership i am the general manager at. No excuse car that is very very rare.
Check it out at www.mecum.com. (http://www.mecum.com.) Ed can be reached at 716-913-2467. He's been told the car should do somewhere in the 75k
range. I don't know that i have ever seen another l-89 68!!! This car was at the ontatio camaro nationals this summer.

Hopefully you guys don't mind a newbie jumping in here. I pop in to this board every so often to read some of the threads and decided to go ahead and register, primarily because I know this particular car.

I believe Ed is with the Sheriff's Office in the Grand Island, NY area. I parked beside him at the 1998 Camaro Nationals at the Grand Island Holiday Inn Resort and we kind of became drinking buddies for a few days. If my memory serves me right, I believe Bob Harris at Camaro Specialties in Buffalo had a lot to do with the restoration of this car.

BTW - it was a first class car four years ago and I don't see Ed letting it deteriorate.

Thanks for letting me say a few words, maybe I'll become more of a regular in the future.

Hey Don!
Welcome.
Lets not start the Gor-Don Lightfoot similarities again. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Welcome, Don. Nice to see another familiar name here.

I sure hope to still see the car at the auction, even if it won't be going across the block. I will be attending with a friend who still owns the 68 L89 Camaro that I sold to him in 1980.
