Does anyone know of documented big block Camaros built with the L78, L89 or L72 COPO options exist? I'm sure that there were L78's built but what about the L89 and L72?

Clill;
Is that the 'fire' car I saw at Bob Harris' and redone at Carlisle two years ago?

Clill,
Did you have any other than the Red and Blue L78 Rags?
Were both Van Nuys Built Camaros as I have not seen any signs of prior Fire Damage to the Blue one I have /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif

It was a engine fire on the Burgundy one. Not as bad as it sounds. I also had a 68 L78 convert but I can't remember if it was LA built.

Any known COPO or L89 cars? Was Norwood the only place special low volume cars were built?

He sold it at the Monterey Auction in August. It is still in Ca.

The JL8 car I'm having restored I got from Charley and it's an LA car with the broadcast sheet and POP.

Charley's right, the fire was a engine fire and the damage appeared minimal. It wasn't even enough to make me look twice, I was checking out the '69 T/A convert /ubbthreads/images/icons/shocked.gif

Looked at a Blue 69 L78 LA built car tonight. 36K mile car owner has POP/Window sticker. Car still has orginal #'s matching drivetrain. Pic of the car in the current Camaro Performers Mag.

No known LA COPO's, only rumors.
I know of another LA L89 car, it was a magazine test car.
Young,
When you get a chance, I'd be interested in some of the #'s from your car. You can drop me a line at
[email protected]. Thanks.
