Rich is a well known broker that ads money to cars and either the buyer or seller gets screwed. he will say he never did anything like that but I know he has done so I was one of the people he ripped off. BEWARE he may sound good but is nothing but a used car salesman.

SupercarSteve Its a known fact that im a broker. Im not a broker who stacks money on these cars but do ask that sometimes the buyer and seller both take care of me unless the seller is paying me a comm, but unlike most brokers that put thousands of dollars on these cars is a crime. These are very expensive already and I know people that put 10+ on cars. This is why I dont deal threw brokers or dealers. If you add up my comm when added up you would find out it comes out to less the 5% and a lot less. People like you: I feel bad that I dont put money on these cars so you wouldnt feel you got ripped off and had to pay on both ends. It still comes out less when both pay !! Im also a locator that gets paid to find some of the rarest cars out there and clients that know how I work. But I would bet you the car was what we said it was and all that(seller and I). So i feel good you didnt bash the car (say) you got from me.You just sound like one of those guys who just dont like to pay !! But I see you hid your ID.

Would a moderator please delete Supercar Steve's posts? They seem to be slanderous, without merit and add nothing to the conversation.

Now if Steve wishes to post any alleged grievances with anyone he should feel free to do so. He should post these grievances with facts that can be supported and not with only conjecture.

So what if RichP is a broker? We all already know that. Good for him... anyone who assits you in the selling of an automobile (auction, consignment, magazine ad) costs money. I do not know RichP nor have ever delt with him but I truely see it as unfair and deleterious for the forum to allow posters to throw around unfounded accusations.

Feel free to delete this post as well when you remove Steve's.

Thank you,

Bill O'Brien

Autoinsane I agree with you ,unless Steve wants to prove his statements they should be removed.I do not know RichP neither and have never talked with him and if Steve can not prove his statements they should be deleted, when someone spends time searching for cars and buyers and assisting sellers it takes time(TIME IS MONEY).OK Steve Time to Quit hiding and STEP up to the plate buddy. Also why don't you fill in your profile are you scared or something?

I agree with the fact that this board is no place for slander. As for having a broker or agent, that is common with everything in life. A person might know something about putting a roof on there house, yet most hire an expert. A person may know something about everything, but in most cases you hire an expert for whatever the service may be. When you are talking about spending big money on a collector car, even though you may know something about the hobby, would it not be wise to hire an expert who has amassed a lifetime of knowledge on the subject? Also the same person who has the skills or connections to locate these cars that are still out there but missing? Or possibly the buyer or seller or both prefer to conduct the transaction in a private manner using a third party? There are a multitude of reasons why to use an agent, and with the prices approaching that of real estate, when people buy and sell real estate is it not normal to go through a real estate agent? I have represented many cars in the past, located many, and brought a good number of buyers and sellers together, all were happy at how things turned out, I have also advised several buyers against buying a particular car for many reasons in which the buyer had been saved a major headache. There really is no reason to be throwing slams at people on this board, certainly when there appears to be no factual evidence to back it up. Everyone has the option of buying or selling these cars with or without help from an agent, so why complain. No one is forcing anyone else to buy a car.
Thanks,
Motown /ubbthreads/images/icons/cool.gif

Well Steve I think you are out numbered on this unless you can come up with some real evidence. At least RichP filled out his Home page with his name and e mail address, where is yours. When someone don't fill out the information on there home page and makes the remarks you have made it makes me wonder if you don't have something to hide not RichP.Can you step up to the plate Steve with some evidence about Rich if not I think you should be man enough to make an apology to him on this board.Makes me think about an old saying,I think you have let your humming bird mouth overload your alligator A$$!!

Bobby, I agree with you all the way, I have dealt with Rich before and hey, I get paid well when I work. Does this guy think that Rich has no bills to pay, that phone isn't free here in Oklahoma.Rich saved me a tremendous amount of footwork along with a large amount of money. His knowledge and resources are worth a tremendous amount of time and money. Rich, you have my business !!!!!!!I can't take it with me , so honest brokers like Rich make our lives better.

I guess Supercar Steve is not man enough to apologize, and I take it he does not have any type of evidence to back up the slanderous comments about RichP or he would produce such evidence.Again I do not know either Steve or RichP and have never spoken to either one of them.So I will apologize to RichP for Mr NO NAME STEVE.Rich please accept an apology from me on behalf of Steves negative comment, and please keep up the good work in helping sellers and buyers get together and doing business.I think it is obvious that you are doing a good job because of some of the satisfied customers you have helped either to sell or purchase a vehicle. And I probably think this is the last we will hear of Steve because I don't think he is man enough to respond. It takes a man to step up and either prove his comments or make an apology when he is in error. And I feel he was in error with his comment about you being he has not responded with anything.

I'll back up super car steve. Rich P. is not a man of his word. I located a hemi challenger, 57 airbox corvette and ZL1 for him. Took pictures and over nighted them. As we were working on a deal to sell the Hemi, Milt Robson bought all three. Rich asked me for Milt's phone number (Which I gave him)... and he said if I sell the car we'll spilt the commision or you will get a finder's fee. Weeks later Rich bragged that he brokered the car for 400k and when i asked for the finder's fee he just laughed. In my opinion he is no friend of the SYC membership and I won't work a deal with him ever again. Signed ~ Jude Hettick /ubbthreads/images/icons/mad.gif

First off, let me say "Welcome" to Jude. But, before this thread stumbles too far off topic and takes a nose dive, how about you guys take this discussion "offline", and if anyone has any questions concerning the transaction they can email or pm either of you? I'm not picking on you guys, but I'm gonna try and do a better job of nipping some things in the bud.
