I believe this is the car that was brought back from England a few years ago by a guy in Maryland.

That would make sense given the funny cars and license plates in the background. The "Oh No" car is a Ford "Ka", a European-only car... I drove one once on one of my business trips to Germany. My theory is that the car was too short to spell out the whole name of "Kar". /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

That picture was taken out in front of Rare Performance Motors where my COPO is maintained (and the pictures of the feature car were taken). This means it is probably the former Reggie Jackson car owned at one time by Carlos Monteverde (who Supercars knows quite well from their shared interest in Mopars).
Is this the ex Hechler Chevrolet car?

Yes its a Hechler Chev
If you or the new owner wants to talk to the current and past owners of the dealership (Hechler) let me know. I know they would love to maybe have the car by for some pics..might make an interesting story or something.

I saw the car at SC-Indy in the '80s, Carl Dwiggins owned it at the time. It may have been a correct block but it was built as a 454-check the balancer.

I saw the car today. The balancer felt like a 427 to me. The car is older restoration but is still a excellent car in show quality condition with Chambered exhaust, Style trim, Pin stripes, 4 speed. I would take this one over most. The car belongs to my friend Dave. He has the other Yellow one that Larry Restored to the highest caliber and the Blue RS ZL1 that is not restored. He does not need 3 or he wouldn't sell it. He still has second thoughts on selling it. If somebody is out there that wants one of the better quality ones they really should consider this car.

I saw this car before Carl had it restored. It had black pinstripes on one side and white on the other. Carl said he had toyed with the idea of putting them back but said no one would believe it.

That is a true story about the white and black stripes, heard the same thing from Dave Tinnell who restored the car.

Rich is a well known broker that ads money to cars and either the buyer or seller gets screwed. he will say he never did anything like that but I know he has done so I was one of the people he ripped off. BEWARE he may sound good but is nothing but a used car salesman.

SupercarSteve Its a known fact that im a broker. Im not a broker who stacks money on these cars but do ask that sometimes the buyer and seller both take care of me unless the seller is paying me a comm, but unlike most brokers that put thousands of dollars on these cars is a crime. These are very expensive already and I know people that put 10+ on cars. This is why I dont deal threw brokers or dealers. If you add up my comm when added up you would find out it comes out to less the 5% and a lot less. People like you: I feel bad that I dont put money on these cars so you wouldnt feel you got ripped off and had to pay on both ends. It still comes out less when both pay !! Im also a locator that gets paid to find some of the rarest cars out there and clients that know how I work. But I would bet you the car was what we said it was and all that(seller and I). So i feel good you didnt bash the car (say) you got from me.You just sound like one of those guys who just dont like to pay !! But I see you hid your ID. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

MC25..the 68 Grotto Blue Yenko that sold was no longer Daves. He sold it last year at Monterey. The 68 that is still for sale is YS8030, Red Rally Sport.
