I was crossing Alligator alley (I-75) last Friday heading to Miami from the West coast of FL. The state police had the road blocked off, someone was shootnig a movie. I looked up and saw a LaMans Blue, Black Stripe 1969 Yenko Camaro. It was in the movie shoot! Is this a real Yenko car or a clone? Who owns this car? I have a real one and was wondering if anyone else had one in FL.

Yesterday in Boston I saw a billboard advertisement for a show and a blue 69 windshield was behind the person.. Maybe they are filming the show near you. Didn't catch the name but it looked cheesy like the WB or UPN..maybe a fast & furious rip off show...

I bet it's that "Fastlane" show that is on Fox now. They have been using a 69 Rally Green Yenko (clone) lately. Maybe they painted it blue.

YES< that was it..Blue/ green..sounds like a spiral shock thread starting up again!
It was filming for "The Fast & the Furious 2" estimated June 2003 release
In the film the actors play old friends who use their street-racing skills to go undercover and bust a Miami drug kingpin. Looks like a Yenko clone with black grill and funny looking stripes

JoeC you get a trophy! How did you get the pictures? That looks like what I saw, but it was only for a nano second while driving. I whished I had the opportunity to turn around and see the car longer. I have only lived in FL a since March,02 and am curious how many Yenko's (besids my car) are down here. Thanks for your imput.
I just did a search and found a bunch of links on the new movie. They are using a lot of different cars. Mostly ricers.

Hey guys, sad but true, we are getting more passe' by the minute.... 10 years ago my 69 Camaro IPC used to almost stop traffic when I took it out. Today it is barely noticed. These days my modified V-TEC Honda Targa IS "the car". When I drive them both- there is simply no disputing the fact that the kids today are as nuts about the "ricers" as we were about our muscle cars- "back in the day".
Sounds like a killer movie! /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Joe, Kevin King's pro-touring 69 RS/SS ragtop IPC look-a-like was also used in the filming of the F&F2 in Miami. Bet that is where the Year One tags came from on the Yenko clone & Challenger. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif .............RatPack.................
