Did GM or Fisher put the pin stripes on all the 69 Camaros?
I have seen some with and some without.
If the car got the Z/28 or hockey stripe, did it also get the pin stripe?
I have noticed on alot of resturations the pin stripe was not used. Is this because it is not available in a templet?
Were the original stripes painted or decal?

The fender pin stripes (D96) were included with Style Trim Group (Z21) on non-performance Camaros. However if D90 or DX1 striping was also ordered the D96 stripes would not be included. D96 was optional on non-style trim non-HP Camaros.

For most Camaro SS D96 was not available or included. However Indy Pace Car replicas (Z11) and Special Accent Striping (Z10) included D96.

D96 was not available with Special Performance Equipment (Z/28).

Some of the press photos Chevy released for 1969 show a Z/28 and an SS with D96. These were not production units.

The stripes were painted by Chevy as the fenders had to be in place.

I think the X-11 Yenkos had pin stripes and were rubbed off when the stripes were added??

I have seen some COPO's with and without the D96 stripe.
Whether the cars with the D96 stripe were original, I don't know.

A COPO would follow the same guidelines. For example the #3 ZL1 has them as it was built with Z21. Gibbs ZL1s did not have Z21 and did not have the stripes. A non-Z21 COPO could have been ordered with D96.

Berger RS COPOs with D90 stripes do not have D96.
