Just wondering if any of you with the 02 ZL1 427 cars have dynoed them yet. There is a person on another board claiming, didn't actually say he had a ZL1, well here is his exact remarks:

My C5R 427 was Dynoed the other day but I left a copy
of the sheets at a friends. I think the HP was 472
and Tq was 482 at the rear wheels.

These numbers sound low for a ZL1. I would think the hp and tg would both be in the 500, or is this just wishful thinking. This just might be a c5r motor put in something else also.

That was me. Mine is the # 3 Berger car and those #'s are at the rear wheels. That is a Bunch.

You would have to buy a Ferrari, Enzo to attain those type of Net numbers from a new Car. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif But the Yellow color won't match old #3, like it does on the 2002 Camaro ZL1 Super Car.

Well now don't I feel like a moron.

Sorry Charley for doubting you. I just got to see 2 new pics of my car on the site. Still looks like a z28 with a SS hood on it though.

Also curious was those dyno numbers with the exhaust cutouts open or closed. Just wondering how much they help or hurt.

Thats around 575-600hp at the crank! Not too shabby.
82z96ss and Charley- What other web site are you guys referring to?

Thanks-

I think the Web site is Pro-Touring.com... I didn't ask if the cutouts were open or not.

Thanks Charley-
Which headers did you use on the ZL1? I have FLP's on my Berger, cats/orp/and custom in line straight through mufflers can be swapped out, all v-flanged. I wanted to add an electric cutout in the system, preferebly with the cats. Still working on the idea though. Mine dyno'd at 392rwhp through the orp's at 500miles on the odo.

I dunno. They are made in Ca. I know they had problems with fitment because they are 1 7/8 tube versus 1 3/4 that most use.

Charley-
GMMG normally uses TTS or FLP for headers, usually a choice on the phase II LS1's. But I'm sure its something different with that 427 beast. Will your ZL1 be in the southeast for a show or tour in the near future? I'd like to drool over it.

Thanks-
Clint

I am going to try and have my car at a Pensacola,fl. Transam show in march. That is if I get it by then. I will also have it at a car show in b'ham 1 or 2 times during the summer as they have shows almost every weekend up there.
