Just had my Z-28 deal go sour and would appreciate any leads members might have on a '67 Z-28 or L78 Camaro. Prefer nicely restored or original cars, but will consider all. Please respond by PM or email at [email protected]

Thanks in advance, /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

I know of a 67 ragtop L78 that might be for sale.

Thanks for the reply Maxx,

If it is your car that you are referring to, we spoke about it a couple of years ago when Bill Rudow gave me your number.

I was going to tell you to call him as I think he's selling his deepwater blue 67 L78 conv. Good luck and thanks,

Maxx,

I spoke to Bill today and he is not interested in selling the car. Thanks anyway for the lead...

Zedder,
Call Bob Harris at Camaro specialties. His number is
716-652-7086. He is getting a car in that I am sure would interest you and it's not to far from you to take a ride.

Will do! Can you PM me a few details please?

Hey Mark, did you see the white 67 Z28 that is for sale over at www.camaros.net (http://www.camaros.net)? I'm the one that talked to the guy and told him if it was a real Z28, he didn't want to build it into a bracket car. It's a back-halved car that was raced and has low mileage, but it appears to be the real thing. He's going to sell it instead of building it up.
Jeff.

Hi Jeff,

Yes, I emailed him last weekend and he replied that he was "considering" selling it, but really just wanted to see if he could get some information on its past history. Not really sure why people advertise cars that are not for sale /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif I figured that was the car you told me about a while back based on the owner's description. Thanks for passing on the link anyway.

No, this guy is definitely going to sell the car. He said he had someone with 3 other 67 Z28's really interested in it so I assumed it might be Jerry. Sounds like the car will need some serious work to save it, but how many 67 Z28's are popping up any more?

3 67 Z28's? Jerry only has 1. Larry Christensen has 3.

Mark, Did you buy a 69 Z28 last week here in Michigan? I was told it went to Canada to someone named Mark. Thanks

Maxx,

No, it wasn't me. I'm not a big '69 fan to be honest - really only like '67's /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

Maxx,
The Z in Michigan that sold went to a guy in Canada named Mark Lund. Let me know if you want to get in touch with him.

Motown, Thanks for the information. I was just wondering who got it. I called on it for a out of state customer of mine. But since the original 302 motor was blown and not available with the car my customer elected to pass. He wants a 69 Garnet red RS/Z with the original powertrain and black standard interior. If you know of such a Z let me know. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Thank!

Mark, did you score in New York?

Zedder

Maxx,

I am waiting for the car to arrive at Bob's place later next week. It's not exactly what I am looking for since it's an NOM car with a '66 block, but it does sound very nice (RS/SS L78) and I definitely want to check it out. I'll post more once I see it.

Mark, I'm not sure if you're set on an L78 car, but there's an L34 67 RS/SS in NY for sale. It's #'s matching(he says) and it's black with deluxe blue interior, TH400, console/gauges, tilt wheel, power windows and I think rear antenna. Pretty rare color combination and some nice options. I was seriously considering the car but I have to finish my JL8 first. I think you could get the car for around $15K and it needs a repaint and interior cleanup but the engine was already rebuilt.

Thanks Jeff, but I am really only interested in '67 Z's and L78's. At this stage of my life, I only plan on driving these cars sparingly, so I like them as rare/desirable as possible. I use the Z06 to get my kicks on a daily basis /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Did you see the Blue L78 on EBay? Original motor is gone, but it's a 4K car.

Nope, and can't find it either /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Got an item number or link please?

Thanks,
