Can't find a sheet of Gasket material this size around here, any idea on where I can pick some up. I need to cut my own gasket for the top half of an Offy Crossram. Unless anyone knows where or who sells just the gasket. PAW told me they only provide one when you buy the top and base as a set /ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif
You can get all the gasket you want. Comes in a tube /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

will that hold up for mounting the top of a crossram intake to the base though. I really dont want to end up stuck on the other side of the island. Also what one do you recommend since I also see most say not compatable with gas/oil

Try here:
http://www.mcmaster.com/
Scroll down to the fastening and sealing category, and you will find sheet gasketing in the list.
These guys have great service, I use them at work all the time. You want to look at catalog page 3189
I don't know the name but there is one that is made to use on fuel gaskets. It will have it on the lable.

Never bad to get stuck i guess since the route we take is along the beach areas, but I dont think it would be wise to be stuck on the North Shore all day watching the surf /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

Does any of your local part stores have Felpro gaskets?
If so part #'s 3092 thin, 3098 med, 3099 thick.
Sell's by the running foot 18" wide.

Found what I need ,while I was walking through the Special Purpose Vehicle shop here today I walked by a rack that had 6 rolls of different types of Gasket material. Needless to say I have what I need now, but I would like to thank you for your offer to help out, along with all others that replied.

Careful going through the McMaster Carr catalog, you will find many items you want, need and just have to have.I also used them for years before retirement,if they do not have it,or can't get it,you probably won't find it!

Jeff,
Didn't our tax dollars pay for that gasket material? You can thank all the members for their generosity /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes and No it was stuff a contractor had left when they lost the contract and the shop supervisor said he has been thinking of tossing it just the same. But ok MAHALO to all and to all a good night wait that line has already been used.
No if you want to see a lot of TAX $$$ wasted visit a DRMO site and see what is for sale in a GOV Surplus auction. I sent a never used pipe bender (Muffler) with about 60 different jigs up to 4" to the one in Barstow about 9 months ago. Again 7 each Leather and nylon flight jackets (new) were sent to the local DRMO site and I just had a shop turn in about 30 5/gal cans of MEK, all going to go to DRMO for resale. The pipe bender new was $8300 and went for just over $700..... I even tried to give it away here to the different public schools that have auto shops and though 2 said they wanted it none came to pick it up /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
