Which one is this.
The Dick Bridges one that was at B/J auction,or the one that is in Hemmings each month?

I sold the one I bought at B/J in 2002. This car was in a private collection for the last 12 years. I do remember an LS6 that was similar to my car(the Bridges LS6) that was advertised right after I purchased mine. I never even checked it out so I can't say if this was it or not. It wouldn't surprise me as so few of these were built.

Mike,
Who performed the restoration? Do you mind posting the pertinent numbers. Be forwarned this is a tough crowd /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif There were at least two such Chevelles here in Chicago Land in the not too distant past.

Mike,
I would think you meant December 22 on the rear axle tube stamping date since January 22 would be too late. What is the casting date of the rear end housing?

The car is not on a lift right now, but I think the date was somewhere like L89 or something like that. I will check for sure tomorrow.

I dont think this was the car in Dicks collection, If I remember correctly his car had a 4.10 in it, and I dont remember it being built that early. Also with a couple of parts not being correct throws up flags to me. I could be wrong though, I havent looked or had my hands on the car since at least 1995 or so when it went over to the museum.
My Records show this to be the Fathom Blue 1970 Chevelle LS6 Convt.that is being advertised in Hemmings Motor News for 195K.Wouldn't that already be a Nation wide/World wide advertisement?
This has the Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner, and was for sale at Volo Auto Museum years ago.It is featured on pages 96-100 in the book "CHEVELLE 1964-72" by Mike Mueller.

This is not the Dick Bridges car as I stated earlier. I did own Dick's car but I have since sold it. This is the first place that I have advertised this car for sale. I wouldn't say that a car with the wrong carb and wrong date coded water pump would throw up flags, especially when given all the other info on the car as well as the paperwork.

Mike, I agree with you on the car. Many of the finest muscle cars around today do not have every part perfectly date coded. I have bought cars from you and NEVER had a problem of any sort or been unhappy in any way.And the price is a bargain with all the documentation that the car has. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Mike,Whatever you do DONT buy the waterpump or carb on ebay!!!!Youll be accused of building the car!!! Seriously though, im only jealous because ive known the previous owner for 12 years and he wouldnt sell it to me for less than 195k...Ive tried many times to buy it...howd you do it??I do have some papers[resto work, documents and history] on the car, send your address and its yours...

What I meant by the flags mention was that it was not Dicks car, not that it wasnt real or anything like that. If you dont know, I was the caretaker , and restorer on Dicks collection until I left in 96. I know pretty much every detail on any of the cars he had. If you dont know him, he would have made sure everything was correct, we didnt cut corners on any restorations.
