Need some help experts!- Just found a '67 RS/SS 350/295hp, been in a barn since '83. All numbers match, low mileage, auto, no air, drum brakes, original everything. Very minor dime size rust spot on rear lid. The car looks so tight its unreal, vinyl top in excellent shape, doors close solid, interior needs a complete redo and body needs painting. No rust through anywhere. The car is all there. Color is granada gold, gold interior. Whats a good price?(range hi-lo), any advice or feedback is appreciated. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Come on guys...need some help tonight. After draining the gas, changing the oil and battery the car fired up. Needs front brakes, other than that it drives and runs strong.
Thanks.

Just checked the NADA site for your find. Low value was $8,719, average was $17,813 and high was $30,125. Low value represented a car that was in need of "mechanical and paint work", (but NOT a parts car), which sounds like what you described. Sounds like a great find!! I'd like to stumble on something like that. Good Luck!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

CW, I dont get your last request, you have the book values on the car, what else is there?, if it is a moral issue it sounds like it is worth low book, if not give as little as possible to buy the car like anyone else would, I am strictly a 67 guy so if you dont want it let me know.

budnate- The owner's had the car since '83, one owner before that, and right now the title has been misplaced. Saw the car again today, I don't know what he's going to ask for the car, got a feeling it could be slightly over 10K. Just trying to get a feel for a decent price. The car's interior is cooked, you can imagine, typical issues with a car that was under a shed for a long, long time.

I understand, tough place to be, Shoot me some pics by e-mail and I can give a second opinion on the car,If it helps, 10k plus sounds a litle strong for the car in this market, but you have seen the car, who knows?

$10K sounds a little high. If you figure you need to the whole interior, new paint which will lead to new chrome or rechroming, the engine/trans/rear could give out the first day you drive it, new tires, etc. The car is probably worth $17-20K in top notch condition so 10K doesn't leave much room to work with. I'd guess around 8K. If someone else wants to pay 10K, let them.

Jeff- Thanks. You are correct, the engine didn't even smoke when we cranked it but I know it will, the valve seals have to be rotten. Same case with the gas tank hoses. I'll let you know soon when I get a price.
Thanks-
