Who makes the best truck to pull a car trailer with? I'm talking 5th wheel here and definitely diesel!

Put on a blind fold and drive the big three when you are done The Dodge will come out on top, it rides the best unloaded, and can turn into a parking stall with one go at it,Pulls as well as any,Just went through it last July, I had my mind set on Ford, when i got there my buddy threw me the keys to a Dodge, we drove it to a storage lot to get a Ford I was after, I didnt hardly get two miles down the road in the Ford and went back and drove the Dodge again, The Duramax was not really around when I bought, But to be Honest I have been very dissapointed in there attemps at getting back into the truck market, Doors sag practically from new and they stear like a Tractor.
I have been getting about 18mpg around town, They say to put in the upgrades on the auto and it will live in either brands, which consists of a higher oil pressure kit and a diff valve body to firm up the shifts so they dont wear out the clutches with the kinda slide shifts they have now, Also highly recomend the Flowmaster ex kit from the manifold back, picked up a bunch of low end tourqe there.
plus it has a nice sound now.
Thats my 2 cents, Bud. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif
IŽve got a Duramax, got it last year in July!
I love it, and it is as strong as a 18 wheeler, i did put a Banks exhaust, and tuning box to it, when level 4 is activated iŽve got abt. 380 - 400 HP, that hauls.
I have just sold my trailer, but had only good experiences when i was going to shows etc, with cars in the trailer. DidnŽt hardly notice there was anything there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I just bought a 1969 396/TH400 3/4 ton Chevy truck from Cal., 117,000 original miles, and this sure has enough torque pull our 69 Camaro, enclosed or open trailer. I would say to look for a older one, and put a little time into it, as I would rather have 50k freed up for that 69 COPO or Z/28 purchase, than spent on a truck that will lose in the depreciation arena............2 cents......Joel

I just saw a 78 GMC 454 crew cab dualie for sale yesterday. I think that it has had a crate motor at some point, because the motor was black, and my 78 GMC had a blue painted 454. Runs, needs a lot of cosmetic and interior work, I didn't see any rust, $1700. At the Healdsburg California salvation army.

All of those Ford truck buyers that I deal with everyday can't ALL be wrong. They are the best selling trucks on the market.

I've owned Chevys all my life, but bought a new 2000 F350 Powerstroke crewcab dually because at the time Chevy did not have anything that could compete. I use it in my business, so I went with the 6 speed manual for reliability. It now has 65,000 miles and has not had any major problems other than a speed sensor in the rearend and a broken emergency brake cable. 17 mpg unloaded on the road, 7 to 10 mpg fully loaded pulling a 26ft. gooseneck running 70-80mph. on the highway. Pulls like a dream and rides like a Cadilac loaded or unloaded. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif
