That is a great shot, Kim! It is amazing how you can just beat a chevy to death and they keep running harder. This car reminds me of Ed Bednaz's 1969 Nova. He runs B/S and I think has gone high 10.30's. Hopefully I will hook up with Jerry MacNeish down at Delmar US13 Dragway this weekend. I am hopeing he will be able to get his E/Stocker in the 10.00's this year. Wish I had my 1969 Nova back!! Keep the pictures coming! Sam /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Does this count? The original owner of my '70 Nova SS396 sent me some circa 1972 pictures of the car...... just after his wife nailed a deer with it on the highway!
See the link below. The picture can be resized on that page by selecting "normal" under View.

Sam two years ago we hauled to Englishtown and beat Benaz in class, a very fast car. Rained most the time we were there. I showed the car to Jerry at the track. The car has 16,000 miles little old lady story. Has perfect interior 70 Yenko fans would kill for the interior, black rubber carpet bench seat when he brought the car to me it had the paper tag still on the driver side rear brake drum . copo caps and the org painted wheels. made a nice race car!!

Very nice car! Are you guys coming back east in the near future? A lot of good running stockers around here. They run that Stock/Super stock circuit around here and attract some real nice cars. Sam

You Nova guys are great. It is a pretty close nit bunch here in Div.1. (NHRA) When I go to the drags I kinda become a groupy and hang around and ease drop on some good conversations. The stock eliminator guys can give you a few tips for your day 2 street car. Suspension, carb tuning, and some tire tips. It is amazing how those 350-255hp cars can run 11:00's with a 4 speed. I would like to see some A/S's in the nines this year. I guess it has to be mind shaft conditions. The 9" tires are too small for those chevrolet's anyhow. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif Sam

Pete, that was about April of 71. The car came with goodyear whitewalls. Sorry, I couldn't live with them. Married the girlfriend. She probably saved the car. Long story. Thanks Rob, Schonye
