Hey everyone,

I just bought what was represented as original NOS GM door weatherstripping for a '69-'72 A-body. It didn't come with any of the original packaging. I am skeptical that it is original...it looks too new and fresh. Are there any obvious signs that would determine whether or not it's the real thing so I can take recourse if necessary? Thanks!

NOS is significantly softer, and has a ruberized coating on the surface.

The push pins on all GM NOS rubber I have used have been white. Some of the repo I have seen the pins are black...BKH

look for a maple leaf sticker as many GM door rubbers were manufactured north of the border. Good luck, Richard

Well, I have the white pins but no maple leaf sticker. The ends of the strips are molded...one door is marked "A" and "D" on either end, and the other is marked "B" and "C". Think I just have to convince myself it's NOS so I can forget about it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
