Neat car that is very orig. Car has 128K miles on it and The engine has had a timing chain but never rebuilt. Still has the orig. Muncie Shifter. I'm told it still has the orig. Clutch. Type of car that you know has never been Hotrodded. Still has all the smog and reverse lockout. I will post a bunch of pics as was promised on a earlier thread. Rare car. They only made 1949 350 hp 396 Novas in 69. Paint is Junk. Hood is rusty for some reason but I have another one. Vinyl top has bubbles under it that is probably surface rust. The rest of the car is very dry. Price is 20K. It runs great but the Crappy Shifter is very sloppy.

I like that color, it is the rare version of the big block for the Novas - L34 option. This car has a nice group of options, which is consistent with most of the L34 Novas that I know of. Certainly makes for a nice comfy ride, and a BB /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, judging by the pictures you guys have posted, dad told the paint guy correctly! We are awaiting a call any day to come up and watch the paint go on.

Will somebody please buy this before I resort to either putting it on Ebay or painting it ? [email protected] /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

What? Don't paint it! That's a cool color. Hey, one of those little muts could poop on it, and you wouldn't be able to find it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Do any of you guys know what the A 3 stands for on Charlie's cowl tag? Also where did they hide the build sheet on these cars? Thanks for the info. Marc

Forgot - where else on the body did GM hide VIN #'s?

YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY
09-10-2004, 06:53 PM
Usually, the A (or other appropriate letter) indicates that the interior items other then the seats is black. If it's an S, then it indicates 'Sandalwood', etc...

The '3' indicates 3 out of the 4 possible exterior moldings, ie; drip rail, door frame, body side, rockers.

This is not set in stone, but is what we have been finding out from our research.

Thanks Marlin, Your response matches what I see on the car FWIW. Marc
