You can also file a complaint with Ebay. They will attempt to resolve things also. I had that happen and Ebay's Insurance Program gave me some of my Money back.

The money is not the issue at all, but the way he has lied about how it was damaged. "the lad at the post office dropped it" We are talking door jam louvers I dropped one ten times and it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gifdidn't break the end off at all. o'well

How did you pay for them? If you used a Credit Card than you have a chance. If not feed back is your best option. Did you check the guys feed back prior to buying?

This is the reason I never buy from Ebay. I got burnt 2 years ago on a part. Negative feedback means nothing as the seller can simply change his user name. Pictures and descriptions are VERY deceiving on the Internet!

I prefer to make time to attend major swap meets when looking for parts. There, you can touch, feel, smell and see the item.

As I've always said...."Buyer Beware"

Swap meets are nice but you can't hit them all. Even if you do go to alot of swaps someone may buy the part you need 5 minutes before you hit that aisle. I have found vintage speed parts I've looked for at the swap meets for 15 years only to find them on ebay.
Trick is to ask lots of questions before bidding.

I agree 100% with WhiteTop comments above. I live in a part of the country where finding anything N.O.S. or of quality at a swap meet is extremely unlikely.....EBAY has changed the swap meet arena for ever.....I had one situation with a seller not sending my parts at all. I had paid with a U.S. Postal money order. Went to their web site, filled out complaint forms for fraud. The postmaster in sellers area had "authorities" investigate and I got CASH refund pronto from seller.....Chuck/Seattle

If you pay for your item through a Pay Pal account they now offer a satisfaction guarantee service for a small fee in the event you are not satisfied with your purchase Pay Pal will refund your money.
Thanks,

Thanks for the info. This is the first time I have been burned. I have bought alot of parts on E-bay. I would say I will never buy a used part again. Ihave allways bought NOS and never had a problem. Sorry for venting. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif
