Trying to figure out if I have the correct DG water pump and Crank pulleys on my 70 L78 Nova. I understand that Chevy switched P/N's and or DG pulleys mid year on the SHP BB Nova's. My build date is the 2nd week of May 1970, I have been told they are supposed to have the same pulleys as the LS6, if the car was a late 70 car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks SULLY

For what it's worth, our '69s have the 3 1/4" deep groove alternator pulley. I also have a 3 5/8" deep groove pulley which may be for a Z/28.

For your May 1970 Nova L78,you should have
DG Water Pump Pulley#3976060AP.Look in box 22 for the AP suffix.
Your DG Crank Pulley should be Part#3955291AB,and 2 grooved is the only way it came.Look in box 35 for the AB suffix. The 1970 L78/LS6 production cars shared these as well.
DG Fan Pulley#3995647AP was a 1971 Over the counter pulley. It will work, but not assembly line correct.

The 291 & 6060 has been reproduced. One of the differences is in the inside pulley lip.It looks much different then the original. They are out there today.

Ron, I will let you know, will probably try swap the 69 w/p pulley for the correct 6060 w/p pulley I need if you can find me one,I would be interested. Failed to mention that the 68 Crank pulley I have is a deep groove as well. Thanks SULLY
