My wife is considering getting an Infinity G35 2 door Coupe. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this car or Infinities in general? Thanks in advance,
My wife got rid of her Q45 for a Denali in 2000. The Q45 is a very well put together car. With 100K on the ticker, everything still worked as it should and the leather on the seats held up extemely well. The v8 in the Infinity never used a drop of oil during the 10,000 mile oil change intervals (using Amsoil). I was very happy with the car and do miss it.
The GMC has already been in for warantee work 3 time! It now has 25K on it and it apears that the window regulator is making noise. Another trip to the dealer!
The only real downfall to the Infiniti to the 3.5 motor is the cost to replace the timing belt. It requires enough "special tools" that you are probably better off bringing it back to the dealer to have it done. Might want to ask the dealer about that cost of that operation. Just so you are aware of the cost down the road.
Good luck!
Paul
PS- they spell Infiniti with and "i" at the end, so if you are doing any searches on the net, you may have better success with the alternate spelling.

Thanks Paul, Yep, should be an "i", I guess that shows just what I know about cars that aren't built in North America /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I looked at the G35 last night and it really is a neat car. I have to admit that the styling takes a bit of getting used to when you are accustomed to only buying GM, but there simply are no nice 2 door, 4 seat coupes that are domestic being built today. We've had 3 Blazers and now have an '03 Trailblazer as the family car. Everyone had some sort of warrantly work done to it - it's sad to say, but we've learned to accept that! Thanks for the help,
