it looks like something from the late sixties or early seventies. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif looks kinda like a dune buggy.

Your right , lot of beaches in L.I. Originally it started life leveling sand dunes. Drove one model called Berry- Mini -T---it was a lot of fun. It was the sign of the times and like gas it passed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
It is amazing how "barn fresh" it is. Even wheels and tires look original. Good entry level Motion car for somebody's kid maybe? I hope new owner restores it back to original.

-----You know,I think a Myers Manx SR is a halfway desireable piece to the right people.Add in the Motion part and you may have a real collectable. Its just that muscle-cars and dune buggies have never quite been thought of together.Aestheticly this little buggie is an example of very good design work.Just my opinion.
-----I kind of wish I wasnt up to my elbows in projects as this would be an easy, fun one. No!I dont know the owner ..........Bill S

Does this car qualify as a supercar? If I bought it would I qualify for indoor parking at the reunion? I only would need a little space. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Frank you should buy it!
You guys will laugh but the air cooled VWís can be made to run very fast with not allot of cash, I played with them in the 80ís when they were Hot, it really was not that hard to get into the 12ís with one, This particular car cant weigh much, a nice 2180 would push it well, Next time you are at the store pick up a Hot VWís mag and check them out, lots of bang for the buck.

Yup, you could build these things as sand toads or THUNDERBUG PhaseIII terrors---- really a very versatile vehicle--- they were fun at any speed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif
