Roger Huntington did an article for HOT ROD in 1959 on a El Camino with a 315 horse tri-power 348. They've hauled a$$ from the very first. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

I know this is not a "real super car" but you could get an LS6 from the General in the 1970 El Camino. Also, you could get an L-78 in a 68,69 and maybe a 1970 El Camino too.

Also, a little spanish for you guys. El Camino means "the road" or "the open road".

You could get a 1970 Elco with an L78 engine as well.Or even better.the L89 aluminum heads. Now thats a SUPERCAR!
It is not mentioned as much in the US literature,as much as it is in the Canadian literature I have for 1970.
Maybe the majority of the L78,LS6 1970 Elcos ended up in Canada for this reason?
We have discussed a Possible 1969 COPO Elco on here in the past, but no proof of one as of yet.
L78's or LS6's were Possibly used in the AirForce as a chase Vehicle for the U2 spy planes in the 60's-70's-80's.
There is a man up in Canada who owns a Forest Green 1970 LS6 Elco that is very nice.Way to go Canucks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Frost Green is very nice color indeed! It is the closest color to Mosport Green that the GM released for muscle cars.

It's 1970 Forest Green code #48.A dark shade.
Frost green was code #59 in 1969,as is a much lighter green.
