Picked up the July 03 issue and found it was the answer to alot of my questions I had about three unqiue cars.
*Bill Porterfields 69 & 02 ZL-1's.
*Ken Bojes'1968 Fred Gibb "Lil Hoss" Z28.
*Original owner Bill Barnhhardt's #16 ZL-1 right here in my own back yard.
It is great detailed History on all 3 with Vintage pix to boot!
A must have for any of us on this site.Pick it up if you can..Or let me know, and I will mail you one for the newstand price..

Saw it run at the track for last years Reunion and it still looked like a race car to me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

At $7,000.00 give or take back in '69 and the ZL1 engine, it was never just another Camaro, IMO.

Ok let me see if my math is correct? In 34 years from now the new batch of zl1's should be worth around 3.5 million dollars?....maybe so maybe not!!! no one knew or even anticipated the value of "these"or any other model car then!! They were purchased to race on sunday ..buy on monday!!! hence the term (just another camaro) No one in there right mind wanted to pay that price. They were not selling like hotcakes back then!
