Was there an EPA sticker on Yenko Dueces in the drivers side door jam? I don't have one but always recall it being under the hood not on a door. Also, who makes the best reproduction or are any NOS available from someone??
thanks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The EPA stickers are on the rad holddown, the sticker in the door jamb is for the tire info.
Did the Deuces come with the Light blue GM certification label showing the VIN# on the drivers door as well?
This started in 1970 and was required on all New GM cars.
I haven't seen enough Deuces to verify this.

Yes, the standard two decal setup, the blue one with the clear overlay. It shows the VIN and the build date.

Which decal are you looking for,The EPA,or the Blue Certification?
I know two sources for the Blue Certification w/overlay.

The blue sticker with Vin is the one I need, the other seems available from almost any reproduction supplier but recommendations for high quality would be appreciated.

do a search on e-bay, I think I saw one two weeks ago, one NOS not filled out, I found it by accident while looking for something else, no-one was bidding on it, I thought they were available repo so I went on my way.

Just about any decal you will need for the Deuce will be available from Olsen's in GA or from the NNN club.

Is'nt that one considered "illegal" to reproduce????? Could be the reason for the silence!

Peter, I don't believe it is illegal to reproduce the sticker as long as the VIN is not reproduced. Sort of defeats the purpose however.

I pmed Bill about this and have a hard time understanding why AZ. thinks you need this decal to properly register the car. If the car has no red flags from previous states, in this case NJ, and the VIN is there, and if necessary a DOT inspection of the hidden VINnbr, whats a decal that sticks on, and may be a reproduction going to prove! Like I told Bill, if that door got replaced way back when, no one transferred the sticker. And like Pete said, Is it even legal? Schonye /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif

I believe that sticker has caused some legal wranglings in years past, however, it has been available through Jim Osbourn reproductions for several years now. (Sorry for the improper reference in my earlier post.) There are actually two versions I believe. Osbourn has the wrong one for $10 +/-, the less wrong one is usually advertised in Hemmings for around $60 +/- (??).
All states' DOT's are strange, some are just stranger than others!!

.... you just got to get the "right" old typewriter to put on the vin. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

And some old 'carbon paper'!
I re-used my original one with a new overlay that I trimmed the corners off of. A little dirty on one corner, but better than trying to duplicate that old type of font, carbon paper, and diggin out my Dad's old college typewriter.

now thats what I call assistance! you guys are great.. as for why they are requiring the decal I have no idea. I am in the phoenix metro area which requires original smog equipment and I think they are just taking it a step to far. I can register it outside the area but for $10 I will give the cheap decal a try. thanks again! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif
Just a slight clarification, that the "blue decal" w/the VIN was also on 1969 models begining around August of '69. That is why there are two different driver's side door designs on '69 Camaros. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
