OK, That wasnít so hard after being pointed in the right direction. We're talking about 70 Chevelles. I realize there may be some plant specific exceptions, however, can we get a consensus, or in other words, ìpick the fly poop out of the pepperî on this. What if I put together a list of every conceivable part on the car, is there any interest in making a master list that everyone agrees on? I didn't think so, how about almost everyone. ...SWB...

Your list is good for most 69-70 Chevys.

Brackets and steel pulleys-semi gloss or gloss black
Many pulley were plated, not painted. Finishes varied alot.

Bellhousing-natural aluminum
Painted with engine, mostly to all orange.

Gas tank-natural steel (shiny)
Nope, galvanized.

Heater or AC housing-semi-gloss black
Heater box should be a 80% gloss IMO.
AC housing is natural dark plastic.

Master cylinder- natural cast iron (some use gloss black)
Lower gloss black paint. Cheap stuff originally.

Radiator fan-gloss black
80% gloss, IMO.

Transmission support- semi-gloss black
Really? Not sure, I've seen natural, but the frame coatings were really quick to disappear.

Charlie,

Yes, the General forced me to take one of the two weeks of the two weeks that the plants shutdown. Don't ask me why, my account sure don't take it off. Any way, I'm deviding my time between the LS6 and the 63 SS to ease the pain...SWB...
