View Full Version : September 2003 issue of Super Chevy
I was browsing through it and on page 121 there is a pic of a 69 yenko camaro. In the bottom left hand corner of that picture there is a small portion of a quarter of another 69 Yenko Camaro, but it is dover white. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif The text beside it says that only two were painted that color. Did Don order a few special colors for customers that didn't like the six he had to choose from? I thought they were only made in yellow, blue, gold, orange, fathom green, and rally green.

Maybe they are Jack Douglass Yenko/non-Yenko. I think Stephano had a Dover White one.

* Yenko's were Dover White. John SSL78 on this board owns one and Gary Licko owns the other one. (I think that is his first name)

In Chevy Rumble a year or so back they did a spread on a Dover White car.

Andy, you are correct in your original thinking. Don did not order/sale 1969 Super Camaros in any other color besides the six you posted. The car(s) in question was ordered/sold out of Douglass Chevrolet. Douglass had an agreement with Don to purchase/install the sYc trim package.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. When I first saw it, it had me wondering if it was the real deal. Well, you learn something new everyday. Knowledge is power. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif Especially in today's world of clones!
I don't think any of you guys have seen my cars, so here is the address. There is also a few pics of when I was just a kid. http://www.elbert.k12.ga.us/~jvereen/andy/aapersonal.html

Charley how could you remember your childhood? I heard that you were an orphan that grew up on the streets of L.A. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You must have checked out my patriotic page. I had to do a page for the good ole USA! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif What did you think of the Camaros? The Z is faster(recently put on a flowmaster american/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gifthunder catback sounds awesome /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif) but the 67 gets all the attention.
Andy
