I know its not a supercar, but here it goes: 1968 426 HEMI Plymouth Road Runner 2 door coupe with 6400 original miles. It is painted the original color, QQ1 Electric Blue Metallic. It came from the factory with a 426 Hemi Engine, 727 automatic transmission, dana 60 rear, bench seat, column shift, radio delete, and heater delete. This Road Runner was ordered to be a race car and that is what it was used for. Originally equipt with a 3.33 rear axle ratio, the car was street driven for the first few years of its life. With a few thousand miles on the odometer, the original owner decided to put the car where it was built to be. A set of 4.56 gears were installed and the car was raced with few other mods. This not only means that the car has less miles than what it shows on the odometer due to the gearing, but it also retains all its original drivetrain components including 426 Hemi engine, 727 torqueflight transmission, Dana 60 rearend with 3.33 gears, and all original suspension components. The engine, trans and rearend are all original numbers matching to this car. Very little was needed in regards to replacement parts in the restoration of this car. Every body panel on the car is original and has never been replaced. Galen Govier was flown to Hawaii to inspect, decode, and certify the originally and authenticity of this Hemi Road Runner. Included with the car is the following documentation from Galen Govier: Statement of car being entered in Chrysler Registry stating the amount of 1968 Hemi Road Runners built, apprasial on this particular 1968 Hemi Road Runner, 30? page discertation on this car. Galen stated the car was a very strong number two car. Since the apprasial many of the items that were incorrect have been corrected. In my opinion, the only thing keeping the car from being a number one car is the fact that the undercarrage and front of core support are painted body color rather than black. There are less than 100 miles on the restoration of this one of one Hemi Road Runner. You will not find another 1968 Hemi Road Runner with a heater delete because it doesn't exist. Please feel free to ask any questions. $85,000

Thanks,

Jason

Thanks. I feel the same way about the Hemi cars. I just thought I may get a little too much feedback if I said it was a supercar right off the bat.

I was lucky(!) enough to participate in the "Certified Stock" tear down with Tom Kelly who owns a red '68 Hemi RR. Really neat mostly original car, that ran mid to high 12s.

My guess is that it's a typo - probably should be 3.23, which was a fairly common ratio in the Mopars. It does make one wonder why a radio and heater delete car was not ordered with, say, a 4.10 ratio axle. Looks like a great car, regardless /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Probably so Bill.

A 3.23 8 3/4 axle would have been standard on a Hemi B-body with an auto. A Track-Pak axle (A33) with 3.54 Dana or a Super Track-Pak (A34) with a 4.10 Dana could have been optioned. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

I went ahead and listed it on eBay. Here is a link: Road Runner (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=43921&item=24 26592847)

The rear is a 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears. This is a close friends' car, I'm not too into Mopars. I appologize for the incorrect rearend info.
