This is one of the 99 Yenko Chevelle blocks. I had done a title search on this car several years ago, and drove to the last titled address on the search results. It was a long shot since the car was last titled in '74, and there was no trace or local memories of the car. But, here's the block!!

I know that someone in CT bought the block and the seller ended the aution early. The buyer is welcome to a copy of my research to date.

Oh, the car was a garnet red 4speed, bench, listed as sold out of Marshall Chev. in Reading, PA but may have been dealer transferred to Stauffer Chev. in Scranton, PA.

Have you tried contacting the Seller for who the buyer was?

Yep, they don't remember the guys name, only that he came all the way from CT. I will keep trying, it would be nice to keep tabs on where the block went just in case the car is ever found.

That would be interesting! It's not the small clip on the Jim Amos tape is it? It's a red Chevelle, 427 car, but had no stripes on it and had a A&A Stilletto hood - long shot I know, but...

Yountto, if you bought the block, and are looking for the car, let me know. I have the title search results, you are welcome to the info.

Hey Kevin S, maybe this Yenko Chevelle raced against your Yenko Nova up there at Pocono Drag Lodge!
