Here's one for you big car fans! I'm listing this car for a friend, it's a clean, true 40,000 mile 68 Biscayne, originally a 6 cylinder/3 speed car, that now sports a 454 TH400. One repaint on all original sheetmetal. Paint is about an 8 out of 10. Rock solid floors, trunk, etc. Blue cloth benchseat interior is original except for new carpet, 3 spoke steering wheel, and radio. (This was originally a radio delete car.) A true "stripper" car, with manual steering and brakes, non a/c. Lots of new chrome including bumpers, grille, headlight bezels, 427 emblems, etc. Engine is mildly modified, with roller rockers, Doug Thorley headers, Holley 750, aftermarket chrome accessories, etc. 12 bolt 3.73 posi rearend. Firestone Super Sport redlines on 14" factory steelies. This car has nearly every piece of original documentation that came with the car from day one, including TWO build sheets, Protect-O-Plate, Warranty book, and owners manual. Sold new at Harshberger Chevrolet, in western PA. A very solid, clean driver quality big block car that you can have fun with! Runs and drives like new! E mail me for additional info/questions... I am working on getting more pics!

Wow Joe it looks like a neat car for the $$! I like the white paint. Gives it more of a sleeper effect. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

It really is a neat car for the money...not a 1000 point show car, but its much nicer than alot of the stuff I've seen for sale in this price range....and its a fun car to drive ( i know, i got a little seat time in it!) Rides like a Cadillac! You'd look good in it Frank! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Your Biscane reminds me of a Funny story from my past.

I was at a swap meet last Fri and there was a '63 Red biscane 409ci three on the tree for sale for $18,000. Imuclate car but kinda high priced.
Reading your posts made me remember that I ran around with a guy back in '63 that ordered almost the same car, in the same color with a 4 speed and the dealer (Bill White Chev) goofed and forgot to order the 409 motor and so they corrected the order for the car and low and behold two of them exactly alike showed up together, only one had the 400 hp. 409 and the other a 300hp 327. Other wise you could not tell them apart. A friend, Vic Brown went ahead and bought the 327 car and they took the 409 emblem off and moved the crossed flags up to hide the holes on the fender of the 409 car and then would go to the other side of town to a drive in and set up a street race for money. They would open the hood and let everyone see the 300 HP 327ci car and then switch cars on the way out to race.

After a while for the word to get out that you just couldn't beat that red 327 Biscane with the 4 speed and they could not get anyone to race them for money. I don't know how he ever got away without getting his ass whipped over it?

This is a true story. Jim Kohler was my friend with the 409. Vic Brown owned the 327. He became a well known drag race driver for some famous cars not to long after this happened.

Someone needs to buy this car and go Pure Stock racing! Now that I think about it, it would look KILLER parked next to a certain white/blue COPO Camaro with white steelies! Hey, Pete, think you could talk JJ into a 'Scayne?!
