This is an e-mail I received from a guy who frequents the Yenko.net website but who does not post here. If anyone would like his e-mail addy shoot me an e-mail and I will send it to you:

"I grew up in Bridgewater NJ,attended HS
East. I knew all the muscle cars in the area and one being a early 70's
Baldwin Motion Camaro. The car was definitly blue(looked close to the 69
Lemans blue color)with the blue Motion stripes down he sides and across
the back.Car had the 454 emblems on the side front fenders and Motion
rectangle badge.I believe the interior was black.I remember it having
the L-88 hood.Car had Cragar ss mags and rear spoiler. I don't remember
it having fender flares but it did have wide N50x15 tires.I remenber
this car real good because it was out of the ordinary and I knew it was
nasty. I knew a little about Motion cars so I never raced this guy.He
wanted to race me,but I didn't. Anyway the owner lived in the area and I
believe the town was South Boundbrook. I know a cop from back then use
to pull this car over all the time.In fact he gave me the owners name
which I have home in NJ.I did talk to him about 2 years ago,but dosen't
remember who he sold it to.He was in the process of moving and knew he
had pictures of it,but I never pursued it after that.I don't know if
it's the same car,but I figure I would pass this along to you.If it
sounds like it I will look into talking to this guy again.Let me know.
It's up to you if you want to post this info on the SYC,part or all of
it,I don't mind. "

No idea if this is related, but a couple of years ago I think it was on LS1.com I remember talking to a guy who had a 1971 Baldwin-Motion Phase III 454 Camaro. If I remember the color correctly, I think I recall him saying it was a Midnight Blue or a dark blue with white Motion graphics. Had the 500-550HP 454 with the side mounted exhaust and the Muncie M-22 4 speed. He said it had under 10,000 miles...somewhere between 5-10K, I don't recall the exact number. I know he was located in Northern New Jersey, just never bothered to ask the town or county. I wish I had because the guy said he still would drag race it from stoplights. I remember he said he would beat the piss out of modded Viper's and they were not too happy that an "old" car beat their $80K car...if only they had known that is a Motion car. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Not sure if that helps, but it's what I remember.

I will see if I have some thing that could help you.I went to look at a "Motion Camaro" that was for sale in northern Jersey back in the early 90's.It was actually conversion that was done by Motion in 1976.The car was blue with white stripes and had an L88 hood and fender flares. It had a Motion built 10.5:1 454 and th400 trans and was the lemans blue you desribe but had been primed by the current owner. The owner at the time had the original work order from Motion and the name on the order was a hispanic sounding name{I believed either the first or last name started with the letter "E"},and I believe he was from Patterson New Jersey.I have a copy of this order somewhere but might not be able to find it.The original cost of the conversion was $10,500 which included 4.10:1 gears in the stock 10 bolt rear as well as all the custom body work and paint.I also beive the car had mufflers not side pipes but I could be wrong on that.I seem to remember the car being in the Pompton lakes area, but I looked at a lot of cars around that time.I would like to know what happened to this car myself.
