i agree, thank you god i have never had to try to collect, but i have several cars insured with hagerty and they are super easy to deal with and have assured me that if i ever have a problem of any type they would pay off immediately to what i have insured them for. they also only charge a one time liability fee. there saying is you can only drive one at a time and that is the way all insurance should be. their number if you need it is 1-800-922-4050.

I'll give Hagerty the nod as well. I've used them for the last 5 years, and have known guys who have had to collect- Hagerty handled them quickly and fairly (one was an engine fire, the other was an accident caused by the insured).
I've had a number of cars in the last 5 years, and Hagerty is easy to deal with when dropping/adding cars.

What are Haggerty's policies on collector cars? I'm wondering because I have a '76 Camaro that I use as a daily driver in the summer, and don't plan on putting on miles at all in the winter. I feel that my current ins. co. is screwing me over, being 18 and all. My ins. cost is about 450 every six mo., even with a good student discount, and being 18 away at college, i drive it sometimes when I go home, so I have to keep it insured. Is this a good co. to get insurance from? I know grundy worldwide won't insure me; I'm 18 and use it as a daily driver. What are all the restrictions on collector plate cars?
I would also check with Grundy. I had a single speeding ticket and no accidents and could not get a policy from Hagerty. Grundy said no problem and the cost and coverage was the same.

Jeff, we had American Collectors Insurance for over 20yrs. and the last straw was when we bought our YENKO's, ZL-1 and the BALDWIN MOTION.. The seemed like they didn't want to insure them!! They ONLY wanted to insure my ZL-1 for $76,000 and on my MOTION they would not accept Joel Rosen's Letter of Certification and they wanted the Original Paperwork from Baldwin Chevrolet. They would only insure us for (30) days??? We too asked this question and most of the guys suggested Hagerty and we are Very Happy with them. They insured ALL my cars with No Hassles. Apparently they seem to Appreciate what these cars are really Worth. Just my opinion. Mark /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
