I think its a pretty cool looking barge. Those big 'ol wagons are pretty neat IMO. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif Would look cool with era-correct bias-ply whitestripes. I haven't seen your camaro either though... Sort of like comparing apples to oranges anyhow really. It's pretty much a matter of what YOU want... I'd ask about the woodgrain, and if its the right stuff or some kinda contact paper junk thats gonna peel off in sheets the first time you wash it.

I look at this, and can only think of one thing......
The Kids:"Are We There Yet,Are We There Yet,Are We There Yet,Are We There Yet?
The Dad:"I will turn this car around right now if you don't shut Up!"
God I miss Family Camping Trips.
Find out if it has RPO CD-3,Electro-Tip Windshield Wiper Delay. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Found this over at DickHarrell.com Harrell Chase Car (http://www.dickharrell.com/cgi-bin/yabb/attachments/GibbHarrellcd2_039.jpg) Looks like Dickie's crew used a similarly equipped 69 unit. Dig the wheel and tire combo, S/S Cragars on white stripe Super Sports. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif Personally, I say go for it. Old wagons are gaining in popularity, especially big blocks, drive the "original" SUV. Definitely get a set of vintage wheels and repro bias ply tires for it, it's gotta look 1970 all the way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

In the early '90s a friend bought a '69 Kingswood wagon at the Pomona swap. It was 335/427 M21 factory "SPL PAINT"; Hugger Orange. It spent time in Oregon and may be the only car to move from Milwaukie, Oregon to Milwaukee, WI. Doug did a driver resto on it, sold it in '97. Still around, has to be one of a kind.

------I have been a wagon nut for years.Im doing a frame off on a 65 Chevelle 4dr wagon now.Im always looking at others as well and have seen this 70 wagon being shopped for quite awhile.I love the idea of it,but I think it might be wise to get someone to look at it first if you cant.Im just not sure why its hung around for so long.Hey!its probably a great car, just make sure you have all the Ts and Is taken care of...........Bill S

DAMN! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif My parents had a 70 Kingswood Estate wagon when I was growing up. It was green on green and had a 350 small block though. I remember long road trips in that car vividly. My parents sold it in during the oil slump of the late seventies and bought a Datsun 310. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Some hotchkis drop springs, front and rear sway bars, urethane susp bushings, koni's and the widest tires on 17" budnik's you can get in the fenders and you're all set!! Can you just see that thing breathing down the back of a mustang 5.0 on an open track somewhere... Oh don't forget some brakes, that thing will needs a little something to stop it!!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif can we use this when ever we want /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/CharleySucks.gif ??

Does anyone remember the white 1968 Chevelle wagon that was at the spring Vettefest about three years ago? Ordered from Nicky as an L78/M22 and replaced with a 427 L88 motor.
It had L78/M22 documentation, as I remember. It was a very basic looking car with blackwall tires. Super cool.

At Barret Jackson 2000 Scottsdale, AZ auction, there was a 396ci 350 HP 1967 Chevelle Wagon. Documents like crazy and best of all it was a Wood Wacker on White car with A/C!

It would have looked great with Cragar SS wheels.
