Check out the build date and drivetrain dates.
Looks like the drivetrain is out of a 12th month
car.

Certainly no expert, but if I am reading correct (please tell me if I am or not), it looks like the tranny was built in Oct of 68, the axle in January and motor was 11 of 68 as well and the car itself was built in June. Is that normal? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

the engine build date is nowhere close to a 06A build date.unless he made a mistake on the dates i would walk away from that one.

That's too big of a spread in dates to be legit. If the car was a late Jan or early Feb car it might be possible, but not June. My car is a real LA built JL8 so they were kind of spread out due to the low prodcution of the actual parts and my car is 04A, engine is March 23, trans is Jan 6 , rear is Feb and it all matches the P-O-P.

My Camaro is a 05E car with an engine stamp date of 0512
and the rest of the drivetrain dated within the
first two weeks of May.

This car is also getting hammered on Camaros.net. It just a poor restoration with a non-OE drivetrain.
