"NO NON NUMBERS MATCHING SMALL BLOCK SHOULD EVER BE MORE THAN $8500, CLONE OR NOT." Hmm...where are all the NOM 69 Z/28's for $8500, because I'll take a half dozen.† "NOTHING NON FRAME OFF RESTORED MATCHING BIG BLOCK OR NOR (OTHER THAN VERY RARE LIKE COPO) SHOULD WE PAY MORE THAN $12K." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Did this guy fall asleep in 1977 and just wake up yesterday? I can't believe this guy even has a computer. He sounds like the type that thinks the "internet" is what keeps your junk tucked in swimming trunks. I guess if we all stick together, the economy will adjust until I we can live on 50 cents a year. And to think, that guy paid a listing fee for all of us to see his rant. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif He'd better stick to flip front '73 Malibu Classics...I think the market is pretty reasonable on those. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can empathize with his thoughts. He should've held on to the '71 Chevelle SS he sold for 9k. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Belair, you better be careful what you download on that internet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

PS... I just sent the guy some pics of your 62, told him you were firm at 8500.00, I gave him your home phone #.

I'm just curious, what is a 71 Chevelle SS350 with a matching numbers 402? Must be rarer than a COPO, and thus break the $10,000 barrier.

Maybe he does not believe in a "Free Market Society"

I agree with that; I never got to see anything below $1.15 (when I was really little) Every time that I'd have to fill up the truck (when I was going to high school) it costed around $40-$50! Of course the tank was always empty, and gas was around a buck 50 a gal.! Say 396L35, how's the prospect on the car coming along?

Man I am just kicking myself so bad right now. 3years ago I sold my numbers matching L78 nova (minus original 4 speed) for $6500. Granted it had a little rust but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Only paid $6k for it a year earlier. I just wasn't wise to the going prices. DOH! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

In all honesty, I can see were he is coming from, I love the hobby, And there is no way in hell that prices will stop me, I will always find ways to rase the money i need to get what i need or want, But there are times were I think, damnit this aint cheep.
