Are you talking about the movie starring Mark Hamil (aka Luke Skywalker)? That was a great movie, would like to watch it again. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Boy, that is going back a few years. If I can recall correctly, I think it was right hand driven. As for a DVD version, I am not sure, since it wasn't a big block buster movie. Worth the effort to find out.

One of my other favorite movies, even though I am a big-time 1st generation Camaro fan, is "The Car", the black customized Lincoln killer.
I have a 1/18 scale replica, but would seriously think about buying the real car, if it ever came up for sale. Wasn't a big budget film, but still liked it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif
The "Corvette Summer" car is still around as I did see an article on it. It was converted to right hand drive in the movie because, according to the high school kid that was building it, right hand drive is better for picking up girls at red lights while cruzing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

The Corvette from Corvette Summer (at least one of them - not sure if they did more than one for the film) ended up here in Australia. I stopped and checked out the car in an importers yard in the early 80's - it was definately the car, with the same paint/hood/rear bowtie insert etc. It was in fairly average condition and the right hand drive conversion (probably why it was here in Australia) was pretty average also. As far as I know, the car is still here in Australia, owned by a collector and not used or shown.
