Considering who the owner is I would use extreme caution concerning all areas of the description and docs. You guys were right, he had me fooled for awhile but no more. I apologize to those board members for taking the opposite stance and defending this guy.

Motown, Are you going to start another "Train Wreck" on this guys LS6 Convertible? Its already been documented (with a build sheet) as "REAL" with a replacement LS6 Engine. Why do you find it necessary to dig this up again????? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

Sheeeeez! I agree...let's please not do this again out on the open forum discussion. I'm sure everyone here has their opinion Matt, but comments like that will only inspire another flame that becomes personal. Your post practically requires Chuck to defend his car and himself AGAIN, and there's a couple threads in the archives of this forum that folks can refer to instead of rehashing the hash that we've already hashed. Perhaps Ed didn't realize that when he posted the car here, since I doubt that anyone wants to relive the last go-around. I'm sure Chuck will respond to any/all interested parties via email or PM so we can avoid another series of rants that can only result in more hard feelings and personal attacks. JMO. Not trying to start any flame with you Matt...just hoping to keep the forum peaceful without taking sides, either way.

Did I miss something??? I just remember the Briggs LS6 drag car being dark green with white top.. saw this one on Ebay saying it has extensive race history and put the two together.. Didn't mean to bring back any hurt feelings. Just wondered if this car is one in the same. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The above post about Matts change of heart has nothing at all to do with the car for sale.It has all to do with my contacting Paypal and American Express[initiating a chargeback for non performance of a sale] about parts i purchased from Matt in early October that i still havent received as of today [over 3 months later,10 phone calls and many promises to ship etc]These parts were advertised on this site.I chose to leave it as a private issue and not drag it online as i dont initiate slanderous remarks i only reply to them ,but since we are discussing reputations, lets get the facts out and decide whos for real and whos not......

Yountto... A Friend has been trying to contact you regarding your LS6. He was high bidder twice on your previous auctions. One time he was high bid at about 118K. Recently he has emailed you many times about the car but you have a invalid email address on your profile and you have ignored his inquires through Ebay. He has purchased a similar LS6 M22 bucket seat convert with paperwork and is still interested in yours. Here was a real buyer that has a extensive collection cars but can't get a word back from you. ...You need to put a real Email address on your Profile....

Ed.....That green car is an original 70 L78 ragtop. Even rarer than the rarest of LS6 Convertibles.I hear, maybe only 5 built. Who knows?Nice pics anyway! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

Although this post seems to be about my thoughts of the car, it is actually more of a word of caution about the owner. The carrier that YOU sent to my house to pick up the block never sent it to you as I recently found out that YOU told him not to send it. The last I knew he was here to pick it up and gone over a month ago, I havent recieved a call from YOU or anyone else since. I would have sent the thing immediatly as always, YOU are the one that told me to wait for the other person you had bought something from. I had a family emergency which delayed shipping, so YOU sent your carrier who never shipped it to YOU because he said YOU told him not to. YOU lied to get the chargeback, stating the item was damaged or not as described, which is impossible since you never recieved the item to inspect it. When the chargeback is reversed, which it will be, I will be more then happy to ship your item to you. The only reason I made this post here in the first place is to let board members know to use caution when doing business with YOU, such as this Chevelle. This is not the first time this practice has been used on this board, just as the situation with the Camaro parts guy in Virginia. People who do unethical business should be known to this hobby. I was not picking on the car, I sure it may be a nice car, I was merely advising caution when dealing with the owner. If you wish to continue this discussion contact me by Email or phone so the board members here do not have to put up with this crap.

It was a cool and crisp Autumn night, the kind serious street racers dream about. Jimmy had just dropped Brenda off at her house because her old man wanted her in by ten o'clock, He never liked Jimmy very much anyway. He fired up his 375 hp Nova and backed out of the driveway, He was off to meet with the boys for a little street racing action out on Patterson Still road. Jimmy was thinking about the tooth he'd chipped off of his 4:56 gear at the track last week as he drove through the night. He took a right on to Patterson Still, he should be able to see the boys soon, but before he crossed the tracks the chipped tooth let go in the rear and locked it up. Jimmy came skidding to a halt dead in the middle of the tracks. "Damn" says Jimmy as he climbs out and tries to push the car but the rear is locked. "What next?" he mutters to himself. Then, off in the distance there is a glimmer of light and he hears the faint call of the whistle begin.

It's the age old story boy finds muscle car, boy loses car in train wreck. Boy becomes man and supercar broker and while surffing the net, 30 years latter, he finds his trim tag, vin and paper work on an 6cyl car. Repacement block and all. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tell the story to enough people and it becomes the truth and you'll be surprised how many people were there when the train hit the Nova! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

mr70, I see you just couldn't resist another chance to discredit this guys LS6 convertible. Why must you continue the bash this car? Are cars with real paper work and replacemnt motors looked down upon by you?How many members Supercars on this board, do you think still retain their original engines or drivetrains? Do you bash a guy with a real documented 69 Yenko with a replacement 427 block? I think not!!! Are there cars with correct dated non original 427's and restamped engine pads? Most likely. The car in question was not advertised on this site, yet it has become the next "Train Wreck" for everyone to board. "All Aboard" The train is picking up speed and heading down the mountain!!!!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

i made a mistake on this car a year ago. i passed judgement without the facts as i got caught up in the comotion. i have talked with the inspector and someone close to this car. Chuck has a very nice car here. It is documented with the LEGITIMATE build sheet. i understand the car is very correct and numbers matching with the exception of the engine, which is correct, just not numbers matching. NOT taking sides, i would admire it as my own in GRBO, NC. Let's keep this positive! Sincerely!
