Your best bet is to contact the DMV in your state, and any other state you suspect the car might have been registered.
I talked to a guy who sucessfully reunited an L72 motor he purchased with the COPO Chevelle it came from, that way.

Your best bet is to try the Oklahoma DMV and hope they have the CA title on record. If they do, they'll give you a copy. Use the name on that title and do a search through the on-line telephone directories. If that doesn't work, there are a number of companies who will search for info if they have a name and state. Do a google search for "People Search" and a bunch will come up - usually they are affiliated with Bail Bonds for some reason???
